Alexandra

Damien stares at both of us, me and Ellie, as he paces around the room. Ellie decided it would be easier to tell Damien and then he'd tell others.

But the way he's looking at me makes me feel like he doesn't believe a word. What he says proves my doubts.

"Not possible." He shakes his head. "Do you even have an idea what you're talking about?" He glares at Ellie like it's all her fault.

"This is my brother you're talking about. Damon would never do that, I know him." He bumps his fist on the desk he's sitting at now and looks at us with a clenched jaw.

"You'll stop lying right now. I don't know what this is about but-"

"She's not lying!" Ellie got up and shouted at him. Damien shook his head like he was disappointed in her. "Alexandra is new and she doesn't know us but you." He pointed at her with his finger, "How could you think something so disgusting about your own cousin?"

He looks at Ellie in disbelief while she shakes her head and lowers her voice trying to convince him. "Damien I'm not lying. I would never lie about something like this and I know you and Damon are really close but that doesn't mean he's a good person. You haven't seen him in years."

"No." Damien whispers. Maybe he's in a delusion by choice. Maybe he just doesn't want to believe something so awful about the person he thought of as a brother.

"He was hiding in her closet. You saw it with your own eyes." Ellie tries to reason.

The door snaps open and I flinch. Who would enter Damien's office without a knock if not Damon. I was scared of being in the same space as him so I knew I made the right decision about telling Ellie the truth.

But to my surprise it was Warren. "What's going on?" He asked, confused as he looked between us. "Why are you guys here?" He left me with Ellie two hours ago so it makes sense he's confused.

"Close the door." Damien orders. As Damien was working, Ellie brought us to his company. My dad's company. It is Damien's now and he's the owner and the CEO. He must have so many responsibilities.

Once Warren closed the door and came to stand beside me, Damien told him what we've been talking about.

Unlike Damien, Warren wasn't surprised, he already guessed last night that's why Damon was there. He had doubts because Damon was their cousin but now he was sure and he'd kill him.

"I'll kill him." He said what I thought and I was glad that he took my side. Is this selfish? Does this mean I'm selfish?

I don't want him to kill Damon but I don't want him to get away with it either. He should be locked up so he won't ever try something like this with another woman.

"Calm down." Damien was pissed off about something. Warren turned to me and his face told me just how guilty he felt. "I knew it, I'm so sorry." He wrapped his arms around me and I gladly accepted him.

"I knew it last night. I knew something happened and then you were scared to sleep alone. How stupid I could have been?"

I rubbed his back like I did Ellie earlier. It felt so good when people cared about me. Ellie and Warren. I smiled thinking about them as my family.

He kissed the top of my head and pulled away but his arms were still wrapped around me. "This won't happen ever again Alex, I promise I won't let anything like this happen again." I smiled at his words and kissed his cheek. I don't know why or how I got the courage but seeing him smile so big after he received it made me feel I made the right choice.

"I would always dream of having a big brother who would protect me." I said honestly. I was so emotional that I didn't even care what people would think about me in this second.

Warren nodded his head and pointed at himself with a chuckle. "That's me. "

I nodded my head and I could see from the corner of my eyes that Ellie was smiling at us while Damien got back to his paperwork.

"Damien?" Ellie asked noticing the same thing.

"We gotta do something about this." Warren said in a matter-of-fact tone and Damien snorted. "How about you take your sisters out for dinner?"

Ellie frowned at his words and I didn't understand them either.

"What do you mean?" Warren was also confused. Why wasn't Damien taking this seriously?

"I'll talk to Damon-"

"And what?" Warren snapped at him. "You think he's gonna admit to sexually assaulting our sister?"

Damien's head snapped up to look at Warren and his expression was so cold, if he looked at me like that I'd cry so bad.

"Half sister and Damon would never do that!" My heart dropped at his words. Half sister. Of course. It doesn't even make a difference. It shouldn't but I feel a hole in my heart that he only accepts me when it's convenient for him.

And that he doesn't believe me.

Warren had a completely different reaction. If I was frozen at my place being hurt by his words, Warren was furious and he rushed towards his brother.

"What did you say?!" He yelled in his face as Damien scoffed at his brother's reaction. "Back off Warren."

"You take Damon's side over Alexandra's? You'll just let him get away with it huh?"

Damien pushed Warren off of him and he fell on the floor. Ellie rushed to him and offered her hand. Warren took it and nodded his head at her, silently thanking her.

"We don't have anything else to discuss." Damien replied nonchalantly and got back to his seat.

Warren snorted but didn't argue anymore. He grabbed my hand gently and guided me out of his office. Ellie stayed inside. Maybe she'll talk to him and Damien will believe me. What if he doesn't? What if he sends me away because he thinks I'm a liar?

Warren rubbed my hand which was in his and smiled to ease my nerves. "It's okay." While we were walking down the stairs, I noticed a familiar face on the ground.

It was the boy who helped me find my class. The one who has the absolutely perfect voice and the one whose name I want to know.

He wasn't alone though. He was standing between two men. One looked like to be his age while the other one was older. Older than Damien.

I wonder who they are and what are they doing here?

Warren heads towards the parking lot and I follow him without a word. I don't know what to do now.

"Warren?"

"Yes love?" He turns to me with a smile.

"I love it when you call me love." I guess today it's being honest day.

Warren chuckled and opened the passenger door for me. "You'll protect me right?" I ask waiting for his reply.

Warren nodded his head so sure of himself and I sighed in relief, getting in. Warren rounded the car and got into the driver's seat.

"I'm with you. I won't let anything bad happen to you Alexandra, I promise."

His words sounded so genuine that I didn't have any other choice but to believe him.

"Where?" I asked as he started driving.

He chuckled and gave me a glance, "To buy you a new phone."

I smiled. He remembered.

What do you think about Warren now?
