Leo's Traphouse 📍

Deven's men moved quickly, grabbing both Imani and Leo, forcing them into chairs, and tying their hands tightly behind their backs.

The rough ropes cut into Imani's wrists as she struggled to control her breathing, her heart pounding in her chest.

Deven stood over them, a smug smile on his face as his men finished the job.
He sneered at Imani, pacing slowly in front of her.

"You thought you could get away from me, huh?" he said, his voice dripping with malice.

"You and Chris. I should've known it was him helping you escape from my car. That nigga."

Imani's eyes flashed with anger, but she stayed silent, her jaw clenched. She couldn't give him the satisfaction of a reaction. She refused to let him see how terrified she was.

Deven chuckled darkly, crouching down in front of her, his face inches from hers.

"What, nothing to say? You don't want to beg for your life?"

Imani glared at him, her lips pressed into a thin line. Inside, her rage boiled, but all she could do was sit there, tied up, helpless.

She could still hear the sound of gunfire in her head, still see the image of Chris bleeding out on the floor.

Her tears welled up again, but she forced them back, her anger taking over her fear.

Leo, sitting next to her, scoffed, his face twisted with pain but his eyes sharp.

"Just get it over with, nigga," he spat. "If you're gonna kill us, stop wasting time."

Deven laughed again, louder this time, the sound echoing off the walls. He stood up, pacing back and forth as if amused by the whole situation.

"Oh, don't worry, old man.
I'm getting there," he said, waving his gun carelessly in the air. "But first, I want to enjoy this moment."

Suddenly, Deven stopped in front of Leo, his smile vanishing. Without warning, he aimed his gun at Leo's shoulder and pulled the trigger.

The deafening crack of the gunshot filled the room as Leo's body jerked violently. He fell to the ground with a grunt, clutching his shoulder as blood soaked through his shirt.

"Leo!" Imani screamed, tears spilling down her cheeks as she watched him writhe in pain.

Her body shook with fear and helplessness. She couldn't do anything but scream, the ropes biting into her wrists as she pulled against them.

Leo groaned, his face twisted in agony, but he was still alive. "You bitch," he spat, his voice weak but defiant. "You can't even finish the job right."

Deven smiled cruelly, looking down at Leo as he bled on the floor.

"Don't worry. You'll die soon enough. But first," he turned to Imani, his grin widening, "I think we'll have some fun."

Imani's breath hitched, her chest heaving as the panic clawed its way back up her throat. She glanced down at Leo, still alive but fading fast, and felt her heart break.

Deven was playing with them, dragging this out just for the pleasure of it. And she had no idea how to stop him.

Deven knelt down beside Imani, his mocking grin making her stomach churn.
He reached out, brushing a strand of hair from her face, and she flinched away, her eyes filled with fury and tears.
