Long, tight hugs with simple touches of kisses,
stealing glances at each other—
my most favorite thing to see.

I want to melt you down with my stare;
I want you closer.
I need to feel your heartbeat inside your warm shelter.
I want you a little longer.

I've always wanted to break seconds into pieces,
yet they themselves turn into hours, then days.
Kind of funny to think;
nevertheless, I can't quite bear to feel,
for we both know our time has its own tick.

Hold my hand tightly;
let me feel your last grip before you let go.
Let me feel your trace saying
you'll be back again—
maybe, hopefully, tomorrow—and know
that we won't have to wait too long
to go to places where we find
familiar feelings and home.
