"Why do you write?"

Because why not? Words serve as reminders for the world and people. They affirm that you are heard, loved, felt, and seen—even when others don't notice. Words are traces of memories; they reveal the beauty in everything, even in the untold stories.

I write because I don't want to forget, and I don't want anyone else to forget. Whatever you're feeling, wherever you are, whoever has hurt you, and whoever you love, we are reminded that we are all the same. We are people—ineffably beautiful beings who have been hurt, loved, lost, and found. We are on the same page; our lines and words are chosen beautifully to create a masterpiece: a poem. You.
