I wonder

Sometimes I couldn't help but wonder
As the time passes by,
What was the thing I did so wrong
That made me a villain in your eyes.

Sitting by the window as I count the stars,
I try to ease the pain-
Which I hid in the letters you threw away
'cause in the end you still think it's me who was wrong again.

I wish to hold you in my arms for one last time,
But then I realised it was a memory that could never be retrieved;
And I wonder, in this cruel world without you-
How could I ever thrive.

As I get ready to sleep, I reminisce
The day you hugged me for the first time.
And it was a moment which was to be framed,
But ended up burning into flames.

And I wondered
As I enter into my deep slumber,
If I could ever go back in time,
Would you still want to be mine?
