I write songs from the moments I felt dark, sad, happy, emotional, and all. And I'd like to share them with you, hoping to maybe inspire, motivate, and relate to you.
[The Shortys Long List 2024 - Poetry] The Earth's Lament is a lyric poem where the Earth speaks about its ancient memories and experiences. Using personification, the Earth describes its rugged landscape and historical events. The poem has vivid imagery and a reflective, melancholic tone, recounting battles and human activities like gold mining.
This lyric poetry is about that freezing morning when for the first time I decided to pen my thoughts into something I was unaware of ,
I didn't have a clue what it would become ,I just wanted something my way to come.
I never thought I'd fall in love... until I did.
Even when I don't want to admit it, it wouldn't make it untrue.
The worst part is, there is no one to cushion the fall.
A seven-part lyric poetry.
This poem explores the deep pain of loss and the struggle to maintain sanity amidst overwhelming grief. The speaker vividly expresses feelings of despair, isolation, and the haunting presence of dark thoughts. With powerful imagery, it captures the chilling absence of peace and the fragility of hope. The poem ultimately reflects the relentless battle against inner turmoil, offering a poignant insight into the complexities of emotional suffering and the search for solace in a world filled with pain.
