Wanderer swatted Lumine hand away, and she tried to withdraw her hand, but her wrist met the hot pan for a second, and scorched the side of her forearm. She quickly snatched her left hand, blowing on it rapidly. Wanderer immediately dropped the spatula onto the countertop, and held Lumine's arm in his hands.
"You-" Wanderer sighed as he looked at the damages, "idiot. Can't even control yourself in the kitchen."
Wanderer ripped a bit of his jacket off and ran it under cool water. He wrapped it around her burn, and use his mouth to bite off an extra bit of cloth, and spat out into the trash. He clutched her wrist gently as the transaction occurred, careful as to not hurt her.
"There. You're sewing my jacket back together after you get better." Wanderer said, but not in a harsh tone, "for now, go recover."
Reluctantly, he let go of her arm, and went back to cooking. The feeling of her arm in his hand just wouldn't slip his mind, though.Lumine's eyes wandered to the bandage on her forearm as she sat down on her bed. She gently ran her right hand's fingertips over it, feeling the silky yet rough texture. It kind of felt like paper.
Paimon floated into the room, and she immediately spotted the bandage.
"AACK! LUMINE! WHAT HAPPENED?!" Paimon screamed as she floated over, examining the cloth-like material, "Hilichurls? Slimes? WHAT DID THIS TO YOU?!"
Lumine just laughed and patted Paimon on her back.
"Don't worry about me. It's just a little burn."
Paimon paused, and looked at her with big eyes.
"HOW CAN PAIMON EVER FEEL SECURE ABOUT YOU IF YOU KEEP BURNING YOURSELF LIKE THAT?!"
"Paimon, I promise you it'll be alright."
"Hmph. Fine. Whatever. Paimon's gonna go see what Wanderer's making for dinner."
Lumine sighed happily, and looked at the bandage on her forearm with a smile.
Wanderer was pretty much finished with his cooking when Paimon floated in.
"Did you know that Lumine burned herself?!" Paimon exclaimed.
Wanderer sighed.
"Yes, I do. It was because of me."
"WHAT?! H-HOW COULD YOU DO THAT?!"
Right then and there, he had the urge to toss Paimon into the pot alongside all his cooking. But, he resisted. Barely.
"Don't worry, I'll make it up to her eventually."
