After everyone left for their rooms, a maid accompanied Kamari to a separate room. She stayed there alone, not expecting to see anyone. She didn't know what to do.

She has always felt like a stranger. That her home wasn't the place she belonged to. Now, she realized that maybe it was because of the time she had forgotten.

Those days had signed her persona in a way she couldn't explain. Even if she wanted to, she didn't know what to explain. She felt like she was a puzzle whose most important piece was lost.

She heard a knock on the door and went to open it. In front of her stood Izhaar Khan in all his glory.

Kamari has heard about him. Who hasn't? Izhaar wasn't a name people easily forgot. People didn't dare to pronounce it out of fear.

"Can we talk?" He asked her. She nodded and let him in. She hasn't gotten a good impression about him, and all the good things she had heard about him weren't enough for her to like him.

He sat on the black sofa as if it were his throne. Kamari sat at the bed's edge, adjusting her wedding dress' dupatta, which continued to fall.

"We have decided that you and Ishaan should marry." Ishaan started. Kamari wondered if he had heard what she had said earlier.

"I know what you are thinking, but it's the only way to save our families' reputation." Kamari knew everyone probably discovered about the wedding.

"Ishaan and Asif went to talk with your father, and I assume he will agree. What about you? If your father agrees, will you marry Ishaan again?" He asked her.

Kamari didn't know what to say. She wanted to say no. No, she didn't want to. It just seemed the most intelligent thing to do, but she couldn't ignore what had happened earlier. When Ishaan shielded her from everyone, her brain was telling her to move, but her feet remained glued to the floor. She didn't move. She didn't recognize Ishaan, but her body language was telling her to stay right there. It was telling her that Ishaan would protect her.

"All my life, I thought that the most important thing for me was my family's respect. It still matters. But right now, I'm not asking you because of respect. I'm asking you to agree for my son's happiness." Kamari was even more stunned now. What did that mean?

"You don't remember. When you and him met, we two had a fight, and he left. You are the reason he returned back. Before going away, he promised never to come back, but he did. When he returned back, he had a bruised lip, a black eye, and a broken leg. I ran towards him and asked him what had happened. He didn't tell me anything. He just said: Abu, someone made me realize how important family is. I didn't ask him further, and he didn't tell me anything." Kamari retreated everything. Maybe she had judged him too early. He was just trying to protect his family.

"Today, I saw the same Ishaan. He didn't have the bruises, but he had something worse. He seemed dead inside. I don't want that to happen again." With that, he stood up and began leaving.
