After the breakfast in which her family took her away. Ishaan decided to talk with his mother. He knew his mother would have never agreed and wanted to tell her earlier, but couldn't because of the circumstances.

And now his mother didn't even bother showing up at breakfast when her family came. He didn't want the relationship to get worse. He found her sitting on the chair in her room's balcony.

"Is the seat empty?" He pointed at the seat. His mother just nodded. He sat down, facing her.

"How are you feeling?" He asked her. His father told everyone she had a headache and that was why she couldn't come at breakfast.

"Fine." She replied, not caring much.
"Do you want to get you some painkillers?" He questioned. She shook her head, saying no.

"I feel like we haven't talked in ages." Ishaan tried to continue the conversation. His mother was angry and it was shown. "Whose fault is that?" She replied.

"Mine." He muttered. After settling his business in Pakistan, he decided to move to Spain, where he stayed for the last two years. He didn't have time to come home.

"But I did call." He added, trying to justify himself. "Ten minutes once a week isn't calling, Ishaan." They got interrupted by the servant, who brought some snacks. The servant put it on the table and excused himself.

He went to sit next to his mother, taking her hands in his and obliging her to face him. "Ami, you can beat me with your slipper but please don't give me the silent treatment."

His mother scoffed. "I didn't beat you even when you were a kid and I won't start now."

"But you can start now. I apologize for everything. For going away like that, not calling often, coming home so suddenly, not telling you about Kamari. I am so sorry for everything." He apologized.

"Do you remember the times when you used to come home from school and tell me all about your day? Because I do and I just miss them. I miss the time when I was close with my older son." She said.

"Ami, I am sorry." That was the only thing he could say.
"It is okay." He smiled.

"So you accept Kamari?" He questioned. She snatched her hands away from his grip. "Ami." He pleaded.

"That girl disrespected me." She told him. "She tried to defend herself, Ami. Everyone has the right to defend themselves."

"So, that is the new way to respect your mother-in-law?" She asked. "I promise you she will never disrespect you." She scoffed. "Yeah, sure."

"Kamari believes in mutual respect. If you respect her, she will respect you. I am just saying that you should try to get to know her. I am sure you will like her." He told her. She didn't answer. So, he added: "Ami, I am sure she will also try to fit in and try to win your heart. Please, let her do it. You won't regret it. The relationship already has a bad start, please, Ami, don't let it have a bad ending too."
