After their official nikah, the groom and the bride sat on the sofa on the stage. People were rushing to congratulate them. Actually, they just wanted to know anything about the news. She has already heard people gossiping about her. They called her a gold digger and wondered why she married the elder one if she had an affair with the younger one.
She ignored them, and Ishaan glared at them, and they all shut up eventually. They just couldn't talk about Izhaar Khan's daughter-in-law like that. She knew he had organized a press meeting to explain everything. She wasn't part of it, so she could care less.
"If you continue to glare like that, they will think you are hiding a gun in your bag." Her husband whispered in her ear. She sighed. "Could you please not?" He pouted. "Come on, dear wife. Did you forget the deal? Happy couple." He smiled, helping himself with his fingers. She rolled her eyes and adjusted her dupatta.
The whole day has been a roller coaster. She was in a terrible mood, and everyone could notice it, and right now, the photographer wanted to be her last straw.
"When is this event ending?" She muttered, flashing a forced smile at the photographers. "My darling, it has just started." He threw an arm around her shoulder, leaning her closer to him. She wanted to scoot away, but everyone was looking at them. She wasn't ready for the affection part. "Ma'am, please go near him." The photographer ordered her. "Should I sit on his shoulders?" She whispered, frustrated. "Did you say anything?"
"I hate all this." she muttered before leaning her head slightly towards his shoulder. From the picture frame, it looked like she had her head on his shoulder, but she didn't. "Ok, now, ma'am -" the photographer got interrupted by her husband, who understood her frustration and told him to take normal pictures. She sighed, relieved.
"Happy, now?" She just glared at him. He put his right hand on his heart and dramatically leaned back. "Don't look at me like that. I might fall in love." She rolled her eyes again. She heard that dialogue two times in less than 24 hours. "Have you always been like this?" He nodded at her question. "It's just that I can't imagine myself loving you." She teased. His happy expression turned into a sad one. "Now, don't wound me like that, my dear wife. Besides, you were much funnier and sweeter." She rolled her eyes.
"Can you sit straight? The whole media is here." Rani whispered-yelled at her brother. "What the hell is this? I can't be myself at my own wedding." Rani slapped him. Kamari chuckled. Ishaan glared at both of them. "You are Ishaan Khan. Be your usual self. Now, move. I have to sit down." She gestured to him to move away, but he just looked at her dumbfounded. He turned towards Kamari. "I am the groom, right?" "Unfortunately." Ishaan rolled his eyes.
"Ishaan Munawar Khan, if you don't move away right now. I am going to kill you." Munawar? That was something she didn't know. Well, she didn't know a lot of things, but whatever. "Your second name is Munawar?" "Don't laugh at me." He threatened her. "Ha ha ha." Kamari laughed even more. "Rani, yaar. What is this? Why are you both bullying me?"
"Bhai, stop pouting. You are ruining our reputation." Adeel came to warn them. "Great. We just needed him." Ishaan sighed, frustrated before getting up and letting Rani sit. "Now, where will I sit?" He asked his sister the moment Rani had settled herself down. "No, you won't. Abu is calling you. Bhabhi, you look very gorgeous." Adedl dragged Ishaan away by pulling his arm. "Don't miss me too much." Ishaan yelled at Kamari. Kamari was sure she would roll her eyes for the rest of her life.
Soon, Zahria joined the two girls. Kamari finally understood who Zahria was and wasn't shocked by the fact why Asif seemed to get happy whenever he heard her name. The three talked, waiting for the function to finish. She also met his cousin Mahria, Asif's sister. She was the male version of Adeel. When she told Adeel that, he almost began crying.
