The evening was calm, the air filled with a quiet anticipation. After all the functions, dances, and celebrations, Twinkle and Kunj found themselves alone in their respective rooms, each lost in their own thoughts. Both were exhausted but unable to sleep, their minds racing with a mix of excitement, nervousness, and a touch of fear. The reality of the wedding hit them all at once—tomorrow, they would no longer be individuals but partners for life.
Twinkle sat by the window, looking at the moon, her heart pounding with a mixture of joy and anxiety. Just as she was getting lost in her thoughts, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Kunj.
Kunj: “Twinkle, tum jaag rahi ho?”
Twinkle smiled, her heart fluttering as she quickly replied.
Twinkle: “Haan… Neend kahaan aa rahi hai! Tum bhi jaag rahe ho?”
Kunj: “Bilkul. Mujhe laga tumhari bhi yehi haalat hogi. Can we talk?”
Twinkle didn’t hesitate for a second. She picked up the phone and called him. Kunj answered on the first ring.
Kunj: “Twinkle…”
Twinkle: smiling softly “Haan, Kunj?”
There was a pause, as both tried to find the right words. It was as if they both knew what they wanted to say but didn’t know how to say it.
Kunj: “Kal ke baad… everything will change, right? You, me… we’ll be husband and wife.”
Twinkle: nervously chuckling “Haan… kabhi socha nahi tha ke shaadi ke pehle aise darr lagta hai.”
Kunj: “Darr ke saath excitement bhi hai, right?” smiling through his nerves
Twinkle: “Haan, bohot excitement hai, but you know… mujhe lagta hai… I’ll miss these days, when we’re still… just us.”
Kunj took a deep breath. He could sense the emotions in her voice, and it made his heart ache in a way he hadn’t expected.
Kunj: “You know, Twinkle, tumhe lagta hoga ke main hamesha confident hoon… but honestly, main bhi nervous hoon. Aisa lagta hai jaise main kisi naye safar pe nikal raha hoon… with you.”
They both fell silent, each feeling the weight of the moment, yet grateful that they could share it with each other.
Twinkle: “Kunj, tumhe kya lagta hai… hum theek se sambhal lenge na?”
Kunj paused, taking in her question. He could feel her vulnerability, her worry, and it made him feel closer to her.
Kunj: “Twinkle, honestly, mujhe bhi nahi pata ke sab kuch kaise hoga… But I know one thing. Main hamesha tumhare saath hoon. Tum ghabrao mat, hum dono saath hain is journey mein. Aur agar kabhi tumhe darr lage, I’ll be right here.”
Twinkle felt a warmth spread through her. She knew that Kunj’s words were more than just promises. They were a commitment, a reassurance that they were in this together.
Twinkle: whispering “I’m really lucky to have you, Kunj. Pata nahi tum kab aur kaise mere liye itne special ho gaye… but I’m glad you did.”
Kunj: “Twinkle, kal tum meri zindagi ban jaogi. Aur uske baad, I’ll spend every day making sure tumhe kabhi regret na ho ke tumne mujhe choose kiya.”
There was a comfortable silence, as both of them let their words sink in. The moonlight filled the room, casting a soft glow over Twinkle’s face as she closed her eyes, savoring this moment.
Twinkle: “Kunj… thank you. Thank you for being my support… my best friend… and now, my life partner.”
Kunj: “Thank you, Twinkle. Tumhe paake main bilkul complete feel karta hoon. Ab bas kal ka wait nahi ho raha…”
They both laughed softly, feeling a little less nervous and a lot more connected. In that quiet moment, they understood each other’s unspoken fears, dreams, and hopes. They knew the journey wouldn’t always be easy, but they were ready to face it together.
Twinkle: “Goodnight, Kunj. Kal milte hain… forever ke liye.”
Kunj: “Goodnight, Twinkle. Can’t wait to see my bride tomorrow.”
They hung up, both feeling lighter and more ready than ever to start their lives together.
As Twinkle lay back in bed, she felt an overwhelming sense of peace. Tomorrow, she would be his, and he would be hers—forever.
