CHAPTER 1.6.2
CONTINUATION TO THE PREVIOUS CHAPTER BECAUSE IT TOOK TO LONG TO PUT IT IN THE SAME ONE

Hello, dear reader. You were expecting an actual introduction? Oh, no no no. IT WAS I, DIO! AND I SHALL SHOW YOU THE REAL DEAL!
– The Narrator (Dio).
Anywho, this is a quick summary: Gojo and Snake entered a match, Snake got shot and bled, Gojo took Snake to Hope, who hopes (pun intended) to fix Snake’s problem, although, does he want to be forever in the Fortnite universe? I guess we’ll never know! DIO, OUT!

It was a late winter night, the place was warming up from the fireplace. The faint sounds of wood cracking in the background were soothing to the two sleeping children. The sound of a door opening and closing is heard, followed by boots walking closer on an old wooden floor.
-”Solid. Why aren’t you sleeping?” was heard from behind, said by a familiar voice, a very familiar voice.
-”...I couldn’t fall asleep...“ said Solid.
-”..Hmph... at least your brothers fell asleep... the real problems can be cut off the list.” murmured the voice.
-”...yeah.” replied Solid as he looked out the window, the snow storm didn’t seem like it would stop any time soon. The man with the familiar voice walked up to the sofa where Snake was standing and took a seat next to him.
-”...Solid, you know I always preferred you more over your two idiotic brothers.” said the familiar voice.
-”Yeah, I know..” replied Snake.
-”I’ll tell you what, you either fight till your last breath, surviving this country and the company I work in... Or you might just kill yourself, because nobody needs a soldier that refuses to serve the only thing he was ever made for.” said the voice in a serious cold tone, one that left shivers down Snake’s spine.
-”Don’t disappoint me, Solid.” said the voice one last time as Snake finally snapped out of what seemed to be a sudden flashback.
He took out his cigarette pack, and lit one cigarette up, smoking his thoughts away. Time seemed to pass slower than usual knowing that the only choice he had was to finally end everything he’s ever worked for. “What a stupid way of dying.” Snake thought to himself, regretting that he hadn’t checked the portal gate twice that day.
-”Snake, are you finally ready to tell me your decision?” asked Hope, as she entered the room along with Gojo.
-”...Yeah.” replied Snake as he extinguished his cigarette out in the ashtray, he stood up from the sofa slowly in order to not accidentally open his wounds.
-”Very well then! I’m guessing you will join Fortnite, right?” asked Hope, getting the things ready in order to scan Snake, but he immediately stopped her.
-”No. I won’t be joining your Fortnite. I’d much rather die.” replied Snake to which both Hope and Gojo looked shocked at him.
-”Really!?” asked Gojo between nervous chuckles but it was clear that Snake wasn’t joking and actually wanted that. Gojo looked at him in disbelief, as a sudden feeling of an old event overcame him.
-”Gojo, I'm not joking. If I can’t serve my country, the place I was made for and the people I fought for, I don’t see a reason as to why I should keep living. This is the consequence of my action. And if I can’t go back to the world I was supposed to be in, I’ll take myself out of this one.” replied Snake.
-”..That’s... THAT’S SO STUPID AND SELFISH! ARE YOU EVEN HEARING YOURSELF!?” yelled Gojo as he rapidly walked up to Snake.
-”Don’t call me selfish! You don’t know what I’ve been through and what I was made for! You don’t have the right to talk about whether I’m stupid or selfish!” replied Snake harshly as he looked mad at Gojo.
-”Both of you, calm down!” immediately spoke Hope as she pulled them apart.
-”Let’s think rationally for a bit, Snake, Gojo isn’t wrong, this doesn’t seem like the smartest thing to do... And Gojo, it’s Snake’s choice, don’t force him by threatening him.” said Hope to both of them, Snake didn’t reply.
-”I’m not threatening him, I just want him to realise that he is an idiot with his damn awful (hairline, why do you think he wears a bandana?) ideas!” replied Gojo.
-”They are not awful, you don’t understand them!” snapped Snake.
-”Oh I’m sorry, I’m not some suicidal lunatic that doesn’t have anything else to live for except for my work and nothing more! I don’t even know why I care so much about you anyway!” replied Gojo frustrated.
-”’Suicidal lunatic’? That’s it, boy. I’ll take you out, then myself!” said Snake furiously, grabbing his pistol before getting stopped by Hope.
-”ENOUGH! BOTH OF YOU!” yelled Hope, Gojo snapped out of his frustrated state, realising what he’s done and looked away ashamed. Snake put the pistol away, exhaling.
-”Get Gojo out.” replied Snake, looking away frustrated, Hope looked at Gojo with a pitiful look before she escorted him out of the room. During the few moments of silence Snake thought back of what Gojo told him, he couldn’t help but think of himself back when he first met Raiden, how he too told Raiden to find something to believe in before he left for Super Smash Bros.
-”I’m sorry Snake, I didn’t think things would escalate that quickly...“ said Hope as she walked back in the room.
-”It’s fine...“ said Snake as he sat down on the sofa.
-”...So... You really want to put an end to your story..?” asked Hope as she sat down next to Snake, looking down with a somewhat hopeless look.
-”...I don’t know for sure yet. Do I really have to change my whole code in order to join ‘Fortnite’?” asked Snake as he looked at her.
-” I don’t know, I don’t think so... Wait, let me check.” replied Hope as she stood up and walked over to the scanning device.
-”I’ll scan you and look through your code to see if by any chance you can be compatible with this game.” explained Hope as she got the scanning device ready. Snake nodded and stood up, Hope scanned him and began looking through his code. Few minutes passed and Hope’s expression seemed to have brightened.
-”Good news! You’re 87% compatible! You might experience a few glitches every few months, or sometimes bleed when you get shot, but if you let me modify some parts of your code, you will be 100% compatible and you won’t bleed like you would when you were using your default code.” said Hope, analysing Snake’s code carefully. “Sadly, you cannot go home until this whole chapter is over.”
-”...And when is it going to end?” asked Snake.
-”In... 11 months.” replied Hope, reading her calendar again to confirm.
-”11 months!? I cannot wait that long, just so I can get to my original [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] game!” replied Snake, a bit frustrated.
-”I’m sorry Snake, maybe in those 11 months you will find something to do, or maybe also find a way out on your own. Who knows what will happen in 11 months...“ replied Hope.
-”Hmm... I guess you got a point.” replied Snake.
-”Well then, would you like to join Fortnite, or be eliminated forever?” asked Hope.
-”Fine, I’ll join your petty game, but what will happen to me if I do that, besides being stuck in this oh so colourful place for 11 months?” asked Snake.
-”Oh right! Well, your hitbox will change, but your appearance will remain the same. You will also gain official access over your own creative map as well as your own ID codename.” explained Hope.
-”Is that so? Fine then, I don’t have any further questions.” said Snake as he stood up.
-”Alright then, just follow me!” replied Hope as she walked to another room, Snake followed her and got in a room full of wires and what seemed to be the thing that will modify his code into a more compatible one.
-”Just walk over on that platform, it will make a full scan on your body and will give me access to modify and add to your code things that are needed.” explained Hope, Snake nodded and walked over on the circular platform which was soon enough covered with glass. Hope started scanning his whole body and soon enough she got the code. She copied the default and infused a default fortnite code with his. Snake’s copy code got modified and Hope added it in Snake’s structure, setting the new code as default in the Fortnite universe in order for him to finally be able to join like the rest. Hope also extracted all the necessary information and set Snake’s phone.
-”If anyone asks, your character code is ‘AbstractMirror_Rogue’” said Hope as she kept setting some things.
-”Alright, I’m done with your code, you are officially considered a character in this game! All the data required has been uploaded onto the servers, you should be able to play like the rest now. Welcome to Fortnite!” explained Hope and she removed the glasses around the platform, and gave Snake a forced handshake.
-”Good.” said Snake, accepting Hope’s handshake and walking away from the platform and looking at himself in the mirror reflection.
-”...I look so animated and... silly...“ explained Snake.
-”Yeah I know, it was part of the code, your outline wasn’t the ‘friendliest’ so I had to change into this one in order for you to actually be accepted.” replied Hope, she picked up Snake’s phone and handed it to him.
-”Also here is everything you need, with this you will have access to most of the features, allowing you to interact with more things, your code is also up to date meaning you shouldn’t have any delays in your gameplay whatsoever.” explained Hope, Snake picked up the phone and placed it in his pocket.
-”Thanks.” replied Snake to which Hope smiled and nodded.
-”It’s good to have you here, Snake.” said Hope. “Now why don’t we go check on Gojo, I need to explain to you a thing or two since there’s been some new things added recently.” continued Hope before walking out of the room and towards the living room where Gojo was.
The pressure in the living room was a really heavy one, both Hope and Snake could feel it. Making their skin feel tight and also as if their air is shortening. All this while the sound of a foot tapping could be heard in the background. Following the sound you could see a distressed Gojo who seemed to be pulling onto his hair while the noise never stopped.
-”Gojo!” yelled Snake, causing Gojo to immediately snap out of his trance, the pressure returning to the one before and the air was back to the normal flow. Both Hope and Snake gasped for air, regulating their breaths, Gojo got up from the Sofa and walked over to them, chuckling nervously.
-”Ha, sorry.. Anyway seems like Mr. Suicidal Serious Secret Solid Snake has finally decided to join Fortnite huh?” said Gojo in the usual playful tone despite that something was seriously wrong.
-”Yeah he did. Now, I need to explain something to you two.” replied Hope, looking at both Gojo and Snake. “So, there are four categories of people you can encounter around the Fortnite island: players, NPCs, AIs and AIs with souls. I'll try my best to explain each, since only Fortnite higher-ups know better. Players are the actual people, currently playing the game, most of them can be easily distinguished by their... very horrible attire, also known as a ‘solid colour superhero skin’ by us. I think y’all already saw some of those.”
-”We have, but what’s up with those guys? Are they secretly injected with juices and steroids that make them instantly better?” asked Gojo, looking at Hope.
-”No idea either, but they definitely seem so.” responded Hope, coughing a bit.
-”[[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]]” murmured Snake to which Gojo chuckled slightly.
-“Anyways, the next type of people are the NPCs, which can be hired and / or bought stuff from, like weapons, health and shield, like a living shop.” Gojo and Snake were still looking at Hope, paying attention.
-”The third category is a bit more complex but don’t worry too much about it. They basically have the same code as you two have, the only difference is that they don’t have actual consciousness and aren’t aware of most of the things like you two are.” explained Hope.
-”So.. We are AIs with souls?” asked Gojo.
-”Yes, we are like the players, however we are stuck in games. There is a legend of an AI with a soul breaking free but I don’t know how true that is... “ explained Hope.
-”Hmph... that’s interesting...“ replied Gojo.
-”Hope, the match has ended right?” asked Snake.
-”Yes, you can go back to the creative world if you want, but I would still like to explain some more things to you, Snake.” replied Hope.
-”Alright” said Snake, both Hope and Snake looked at Gojo.
-”Ah, I guess I will leave since I don’t feel so welcomed here...“ said Gojo through dry chuckles before pulling out his phone and disappearing in blue particles.
-”...Now that he is gone, Snake, the thing we experienced when we entered the living room was actually Gojo’s cursed energy.. That type of thing doesn’t usually happen and I don’t think his code is the problem... Maybe you should check on him later today...“ said Hope.
-”...Maybe I will..” replied Snake.
-”Alright, but just know, he is a good guy, don’t let his arrogance make you oversee his true self...“ said Hope.
-”Yeah yeah... “ murmured Snake.
-”Alright, also a quick explanation about how your creative map works. You have the ability to modify it however you’d like, adding buildings and mechanics that won’t break the game at all, you can recreate anything you want!” explained Hope.
-”Anything huh?” said Snake.
-”Anything, but you need to know how to actually make it work...“ replied Hope.
-”Shouldn’t be too hard.” replied Snake.
-”Yeah, also you have the ability to choose how the day and night time works as well as how many seasons you can have, the weather is based on the owner’s emotions...“ explained Hope.
-”Alright, do I need to change something or..?” asked Snake.
-”Nope, it’s all set by default, a day has 12 hours and the night the same and you have all 4 seasons.” replied Hope.
-”Ah, that’s good..” said Snake, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket so he pulled it out to check the notifications. They were friend requests from Gojo’s friends and also a message from Gojo.
-”Hm, seems like I have to go, I guess I will catch you later, Hope.” said Snake, looking at her one last time before finally setting in the coordinates Gojo gave him, teleporting him away to the centre island in front of the house where he first met everyone. Snake knocked at the door and quietly opened the door, the place seemed abandoned, and before he could take a step inside the house, everyone sprung out saying in unison “SURPRISE!”. Snake was taken aback by the sudden surprise and before he could gain his composure Mizuki hugged him really tight.
-”I KNEW YOU’D JOIN!” said Mizuki before finally letting go of Snake.
-”Haha... yeah...“ replied Snake, still in a bit of a shock. I'm
-”Don’t worry, you are more than welcome here with us!” said Mizuki, joyfully, Snake looked around at everyone, then noticed DOOM in the back, looking angry at him.
-”Yeah... I can see that...“ replied Snake, chuckling a bit from nervousness.
-”Well then, why are we staying here, let’s get in the living room and properly celebrate, you wouldn’t want the pizza to get cold now would you?” said Mizuki.
-”Guess who’s favourite alcoholic is here! I ain’t late for the party, am I?” said a mysterious voice, everyone looked towards it.
-”Oh, for [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] sake.“ whispered Snake.
-”Aye buuuddddddddyyyyyyyyyyyy! Come here and hug me, I’m sure you missed me!” said the mysterious voice, it being none other than Hybrid. as he walked towards Snake. Before Snake could make a run for it Hybrid caught him and hugged him tight.
-”Argh..” murmured Snake, annoyed.
-”Now now, don’t be rude to your friend!” said Hybrid before letting go of Snake.
-”Yeah yeah..” murmured Snake, people were whispering around them and before Hybrid could continue, Omni Man interrupted them.
-”Hybrid, I heard there’s a free infinite alcohol glitch you could do.” said Omni man, Hybrid attention immediately changed to Omni Man.
-”Ah, tell me!” said Hybrid looking at him excited.
-”It’s called, 𝓻𝓸𝓫𝓫𝓮𝓻𝔂” explained Omni-Man with a grin.
-”Robbery you say huh...“ said Hybrid, thoughtful.
-”Yes, 𝓻𝓸𝓫𝓫𝓮𝓻𝔂. Now why don’t you go perform that before they patch that glitch huh?” said Omni Man.
-”Ah shit you are right, well, catch you later Snaky!” said Hybrid before running out of the house to the centre.
-”There we go, now that that iguana brain is gone let’s properly celebrate!” said Omni Man, putting his hand behind Snake and nudging him to go to the living room. Snake went into the living room where everyone was chatting and eating pizza, he walked up and sat down next to the Doom Slayer.
-”Snake! Since you are finally in Fortnite, do you have any plans or goals?” asked Mizuki from across the room, Snake looked at her with a serious look on his face.
-”Find a way out of this game.” replied Snake with no hesitation.
-”Maybe try and actually have fun before you decide to leave.” replied Mizuki, chuckling slightly.
-”Yeah whatever.” said Snake, he could feel an odd pressure once again but this wave wasn’t as heavy as the one at Hope’s, he looked around for Gojo, noticing that he was staring at Snake and probably also heard everything before changing where he is looking and acting like he is laughing and talking with DOOM. Snake didn’t bother and decided to brush things off. After some time Mark came by.
-”Yo yo yo I heard there’s a new guy in town!” said Mark walking in the living room.
-”Oh yes! Mark! This is Snake! Snake, this is Mark, Omni-Man’s son!” explained Mizuki, Snake waved and Mark waved back.
-”Not the social type huh?” said Mark as he walked up to Snake.
-”Not really.” replied Snake.
-”Don’t worry, chatting won’t be needed on the dance floor!” replied Mark as he took off his backpack and pulled out a DJ station. Snake looked surprised but before he could react Mark changed the lights into a disco ball and the floor into a dance floor as he turned on the music. Everyone got excited and started dancing, Doom Slayer immediately sneaked out and Snake tried to follow him but Mizuki pulled him into the dance floor.
-”Nah, you are not escaping this one!” said Mizuki. “Come on, where’s your party spirit?”
-”Nonexistent.” replied Snake but Mizuki nudged him and forced him to move around. Eventually Snake caught the hang of it and soon enough he started dancing around with everyone. As he kept dancing around, singing along to certain songs he knew since he was younger, Snake couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. That something being related to Gojo. Despite dancing around he moved through people, looking for Gojo but instead he found trouble as he stumbled upon DOOM.
-”Oh, DOOM, sorry, I was looking for Gojo” said Snake but DOOM immediately cut him off and looked mad at him.
-”Too bad he wasn’t looking for you, I don’t even know why you even bother acting like you care about him when you so clearly don’t.” whispered DOOM to Snake.
-”I care about him! Why do you think I’m looking for him?” said Snake, slightly irritated.
-”I don’t know, maybe to use him. After all, your name is Snake. I wouldn’t be surprised if you acted like one too.” whispered DOOM mockingly.
-”Yeah whatever. I will go looking for him somewhere else then.” replied Snake, attempting to walk away but DOOM immediately grabbed his hand and stopped him.
-”I’m not done with you yet.” whispered DOOM as he pulled Snake close to him.
-”Stay away from him and find someone else to manipulate you insensitive snake. Nobody wants a soldier who can’t even do one thing right and that is to follow basic orders. Nobody wanted you here and yet everyone is forced to endure your [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” said DOOM before pushing Snake down, everyone stopped and looked at them, Mark stopped the music and looked at the two of them, unsure of what to do.
-”You know what? You can keep your friends and this party going! But I will still look for Gojo since nobody even noticed he was gone.” replied Snake as he stood up and cleaned his clothes before leaving the house without any hesitation, DOOM couldn’t help but feel annoyed, getting ready to let his powers out but he was immediately interrupted by Doom Slayer’s shotgun against the back of his head.
-”Mizuki. Go after Snake.” order the Doom Slayer in a deep voice that sent shivers down everyone’s spine. Mizuki nodded and immediately ran after Snake.
She moved quickly and immediately caught onto Snake.
-”Snake, wait!” said Mizuki, grabbing Snake by his arm, but he immediately pulled her in front of him and knocked her to the ground, causing her to grunt.
-”Why are you following me? Wasn’t he humiliating me enough? Thirsty [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]].” replied Snake, putting pressure on her back to keep her still, she gasped for air before she finally spoke again.
-”No! Wait! I just want to help you! Gojo told me where he was going!” said Mizuki as quickly as she could as she ran out of air and was struggling to breath once more. Snake sighed and let her go, crouching next to her.
-”Where.” said Snake, looking close.
-”He... went back to his place.” replied Mizuki, catching her breath, as she noticed Snake immediately putting Gojo’s coordinates, and leaving.Once he arrived, the whole sky was grey and it was storming, thunder striking all around one almost striking Snake too.
Snake went to Gojo’s home, and knocked loudly on the door. No response. He knocked louder. Still nothing. Then, he kicked the door and broke it.
-”Where the [[HYPERLINK BLOCKED]] are you Gojo?” yelled Snake, the house was quiet and seemed almost dead. The pressure was really heavy but he knew that he can’t back down now.
-”bedroom :(“ replied Gojo, quietly, but loud enough for Snake to hear. Once Snake heard that he slowly walked up to the bedroom door, the pressure almost unbearable as he was leaning against the door.
-”Gojo... Why don’t you... come out...“ muttered Snake behind the door, Gojo slowly opened the door and looked down at Snake. The once bright and shining eyes were nothing but an endless blue void of sorrow. He was covered with his blanket from head to toe and Snake couldn’t see not even a fraction of what was in the bedroom. Gojo walked outside the bedroom and closed the door behind him, the pressure immediately disappearing as Gojo regained control over it. Snake immediately caught his breath, leaning against the wall.
-”Geez... Sorry for the door...“ said Snake, Gojo looked at the door and immediately fixed it using his powers he had in the creative map, he then went past Snake to the kitchen and opened the freezer, grabbing a popsicle then going in the living room, Snake followed him in the living room and sat down besides him.
-”Gojo... Why did you leave so early..?” asked Snake, looking at him slightly worried while Gojo was eating popsicle.
-”Didn’t want to ruin your fun any further... You know... since I’m annoying and problematic.”replied Gojo coldly, looking outside at the thunder.
-”...Gojo... Look... I didn’t mean all that.. I just... didn’t know what to do... And I was scared I finally had to face death, I was just trying to not make it worse for anyone else...“ explained Snake, looking down ashamed as he felt a pang of guilt and sorrow deep down.
-”Losing another friend really doesn’t cheer me up... I lost someone already because I couldn’t do enough to change their mind... I didn’t want to recreate that once more...“ replied Gojo quietly, Snake looked at him.
-”...Satoru... I’m sorry..” said Snake but in Gojo’s ears the only thing he could hear echoing was Suguru’s voice whispering those very words. Gojo couldn’t help but tear up, breaking down and releasing waves after waves of sorrow. Snake noticed and gently placed an arm around Gojo, pulling him closer. Gojo immediately grabbed onto Snake, breaking down as he was crying his heart out.
-”I miss him, I miss Suguru, I wish I could’ve done more that day, I wish I could’ve done something to change his mind... I don't want to lose anyone anymore. I don’t want to be weak anymore...“ murmured Gojo between sobs. Snake didn’t know what to do except hold him tight, allowing him to let out all the pent up sorrow. After a few long agonising minutes of unending sobs Gojo finally broke the silence once more.
-”Snake, please... promise me one thing... please... Please don’t you ever leave me. I will do anything I promise... just... don’t leave me...“ whispered Gojo through the sobs as he was struggling to catch his breath, Snake let out a long sigh.
-”I won’t.. Satoru... I won’t... Not even in the toughest battles I won’t...“ whispered Snake soothingly as he held Gojo closer. He watched as what once seemed like a never ending thunderstorm turned to a soft rain. The moon’s gaze was starting to get more clear through the once heavy clouds. Gojo seemed to have calmed down enough to be able to have a proper conversation.
-”Snake...“ murmured Gojo, pulling back from his grip and looking at him with puffy eyes.
-”You remind me of Suguru sometimes... Long hair... quiet personality... both your names start in ‘S’“ explained Gojo, looking down.
-”But I can never see you as him, and I will never compare you with him. I loved him, we could’ve had something but he chose a different path, one he couldn’t return from... promise me you won’t do that...“ said Gojo, looking at Snake with a sorrowful look.
-”I’m already down a path I never expected to be in... I think it’s too late for me to change paths now..” replied Snake, looking at Gojo with a slight smile, trying to comfort him to which Gojo chuckled softly.
-”I guess you are right... I’m glad you got here... it doesn’t feel as lonely as when you are around. Also you need to work on your smile... You don’t seem too familiar with that...“ said Gojo.
-”Mmm, yeah..” murmured Snake, Gojo leaned against him and stood there quietly. After a few minutes Gojo broke the silence.
-”Wait a minute, how come you aren’t at the party right now...“ asked Gojo, looking at him curiously.
-”Would you believe me if I said I got kicked out of my own party..?” asked Snake looking at Gojo a bit ashamed and Gojo back at him confused.
-”What... how..?” asked Gojo confused.
-”DOOM doesn’t really like me all that much..” replied Snake.
-”...Ah. Right. I will handle him tomorrow or whatever...“ replied Gojo as he stood up, he yawned.
-”I will probably go get some rest... You should probably do that too...“ said Gojo looking at Snake.
-”Mmm.. Will do..” replied Snake, looking at Gojo as he walked up to his bedroom door. Before he entered he stopped and looked at Snake.
-”...You know... I have to thank you for being such a good friend... And I’m really sorry I was mean to you earlier today... I was just... worried..” whispered Gojo, looking down ashamed.
-”It’s alright, it’s too late and maybe it’s too early for us to talk about such stuff... We’ve got... 11 months to talk about whatever you want..” replied Snake.
-”Yeah, I guess you are right.. Good night, Snake...“ said Gojo.
-”Good night,... Satoru...“ replied Snake as he watched Gojo go inside his bedroom. Once he heard the door close he pulled out his box and settled down inside of it. Pulling out his phone to investigate it one last time before setting it aside and sleeping inside the box.
