"Yes, because my mentor isn't aware of this. He still doesn't know that I can already make mid-level Pokéblocks on my own," Cain nodded.

Until now, Steven had finally realized what was going on; he'd been wondering how a basic-level Pokéblock could have those effects, but if it was an exclusive mid-level Pokéblock, it made sense, as their effects are much better than basic-level ones, and their price is quite affordable.

Many trainers, even those with some resources, prefer to choose mid-level Pokéblocks.

"Are you sure you want to sell the recipe for the mid-level Pokéblock? Wouldn't it be more valuable if you kept it to yourself?"

Some breeders value Pokéblock recipes above all else, as they are directly tied to their income. If they're disclosed, their recipes could become common, eliminating their profits.

"Yes, I'll sell it. After all, it's only intended for Miltank, and you know Miltank isn't a very common Pokémon among trainers, so..." Cain didn't finish the sentence, but his intention was clear: since few trainers have a Miltank, there isn't much money to be made.

After all, supply and demand rule, and if there's no demand, no matter how valuable it is, it's meaningless.

"That's true as well. Alright, I'll see if I can help you with that and give you an answer within three days," Steven responded, understanding Cain's perspective.

For Steven, helping Cain with this request was simply a matter of passing along a message. Although Cain was using his influence, Steven also saw it as an opportunity to establish a connection with the supposed advanced breeder behind Cain.

Especially after learning that Cain could prepare exclusive mid-level Pokéblocks, Steven was even more willing to invest in him.

Considering that someone outstanding among advanced breeders might be behind Cain, and Cain himself being someone who could make mid-level Pokéblocks, then with the right resources and training, he could easily become a mid-level breeder.

Furthermore, Cain was still young. Steven estimated, based on his height and voice, that he was younger than him, probably around fifteen or sixteen, just at the start of his physical development.

This made Cain's talent even more impressive. Imagining Cain in the future, Steven saw the possibility of a collaboration with two advanced breeders, and he wasn't even sure if Cain's mentor was the only influential person behind him.

The more he thought about it, the more certain Steven became that it was worth building a relationship with Cain.

He could also tell from Cain's Pokémon that he had great skill in raising them and a good relationship with them.

In Steven's opinion, a trainer who could get along well with his Pokémon couldn't be a bad person. He trusted his ability to judge people.

Of course, Steven was aware that Cain had secrets, but he didn't ask further; after all, everyone has their own secrets, don't they?

As for why Cain asked for his help, it wasn't hard to understand. His father was the current president of Devon Corporation, something anyone with a bit of resources could easily find out. Cain was undoubtedly aware of this too.

After finishing the call, Cain went to the registration counter at the Pokémon Center to request a room. After paying the fee and receiving the room key, he headed straight there.

Although Vermilion City isn't particularly large, its coastal location allows its economy to be quite developed. The Pokémon Center here is one of the best Cain has visited, only surpassed by those in Saffron City and Goldenrod City.

Moreover, the dining area at the Pokémon Center offers a delicious selection of seafood, which was a real feast for his Pokémon, allowing them to enjoy different flavors.

After dinner, instead of returning to training, Cain decided the Pokémon deserved a break. The last few days had been a whirlwind of intense battles during the day and training at night.

Although the Pokémon showed no signs of exhaustion, Cain knew it was important to give them a break to avoid long-term issues.

Training isn't just about working hard; sometimes, relaxing a bit can lead to better results.

Cain spent that night giving massages to each of his Pokémon, except for Gastly, who couldn't be touched due to its gaseous nature. All the others enjoyed a relaxing massage that helped them release tension and fall asleep.

Thanks to this, the next day, his Pokémon would wake up in their best shape.

Gastly, being a Pokémon without a physical body, doesn't experience the same kind of fatigue, as long as it has enough ghost energy and its gas doesn't dissipate.

After all his Pokémon were asleep, Cain immersed himself in his meditation practice. Once he felt tired enough, he lay down to rest.

...

The next morning, all his Pokémon, except Skorupi, woke up almost simultaneously. Since the incident with the mid-level trainers from the League, his Pokémon had become more diligent, adjusting their biological clocks to wake up alongside Cain.

It was still very early, so Cain and his Pokémon did some basic exercises inside the Pokémon Center.

Recently, Cain had noticed that his body was entering a phase of accelerated growth: his voice was beginning to change, and he was growing quickly. Even with his daily physical exercise routines, he no longer tired as easily as before.

The constant intake of Miltank milk and nutritious foods had helped him overcome the malnutrition he suffered on the Trial Island. If he continued this way, his physical condition would keep improving until he reached a qualitative change.

After completing his morning training and enjoying a breakfast with his Pokémon provided by the Pokémon Center's dining area, Cain changed clothes and, accompanied by Slowpoke, left the Pokémon Center.

The S.S. Anne wouldn't set sail until the next day, meaning Cain would have to spend one more day in Vermilion City. So, how to spend this day became important.

Cain walked to the beach in Vermilion City. Watching the vast ocean, he felt small before the immensity of the sea and decided that today he would spend it fishing.

While training was important and time was of the essence, Cain, like his Pokémon, needed a break. Since he had been reborn on the Trial Island, his life had been a constant marathon, making use of every minute as if he had 36 hours in a day.

Thanks to this intensity, he had progressed quickly, leaving many of his peers behind, but his body was starting to show signs of fatigue.

So, taking advantage of today's good weather, without sun or wind, Cain decided it was the perfect time for a relaxing day of fishing.
