When Cain finished making the Pokéblocks, the Pokémon had already cleaned up all the debris from the ground, leaving only two still-warm Pokémon corpses outside as a warning and a threat.

Cain looked at the two Ursaring frozen in blocks of ice.

Now that they were prisoners, Cain had the final say on what to do with them.

In fact, these two Ursaring, who looked large and clumsy, could be useful as heavy labor Pokémon. If Cain managed to control them, he could avoid a lot of trouble on the island.

At the very least, they could handle the tougher tasks, and as they walked through the forest, other Pokémon would likely avoid attacking them upon seeing the Ursaring. Even stronger Pokémon might prefer not to cause trouble.

These big, clumsy Pokémon, though they seemed foolish, if given the option to avoid conflict, would likely take it.

Though it's hard to say they're brainless since they devised a plan to harass Arbok to gain favor with the new leader, when they get caught up in the heat of the moment, their reasoning skills diminish considerably.

However, if Cain managed to capture them, they could be useful for strengthening his other Pokémon.

According to the data Cain scanned earlier, the strongest Pokémon among his opponents didn't exceed level 30, and their aptitudes were mediocre.

Although these two Ursaring also had mediocre aptitudes in Cain's eyes, for his opponents, they were very valuable Pokémon, and at level 30, they could become key assets if captured.

"Sneasel, get them out of there."

Sneasel nodded, condensed ice on its claws, and with a couple of cuts to the large block of ice, freed the Ursaring.

The ice split into two, forming perfect molds of the Ursaring.

When the Ursaring emerged, they remained motionless, frozen in place.

Seeing their state, Cain let out a laugh.

"Hahaha, Slowpoke, warm them up a bit. Use Flamethrower."

Slowpoke, with a glint of mischief in its eyes, launched Flamethrower at them.

Roar!

The alternation between cold and heat abruptly woke the Ursaring.

As bears, if they were wild animals, they would need to hibernate; although Pokémon don't need to hibernate, cold is still one of their biggest fears.

Some of their fur was singed by Slowpoke's Flamethrower, but they didn't react, merely shaking themselves free from the ice.

Ahem!

Cain cleared his throat to remind them of their situation.

The two Ursaring, still trembling, looked fearfully at Slowpoke and Sneasel, surprised that two such small Pokémon possessed such overwhelming power.

The Ursaring with a scar on its chest roared furiously, attempting to launch another attack, but before it could take a step, the Ursaring with a scar over its eye stopped it.

It pointed to the bodies of Pinsir and Golbat lying nearby.

They recognized these two Pokémon; in the same forest area, all Pokémon with similar abilities knew each other.

They couldn't believe that Pinsir, who attacked alongside them, was now lying on the ground, and that the "cunning" Golbat was also there. This proved that the enemy's power was far greater than they had imagined.

The Ursaring exchanged looks, and it became clear that the one with the scar over its eye was the decision-maker.

They began to back away slowly, forcing what they believed to be a natural smile.

But before they could take another step, a strong wind blew them back.

Turning around, they saw a Murkrow flying behind them, with a mocking expression in its eyes.

The Ursaring froze, realizing the gravity of their situation. Things didn't look good.

The Ursaring with the scar over its eye, noticing Arbok resting in the distance, had an idea.

Thud!

The Ursaring with the scar over its eye knelt on the ground, pulling its companion to do the same.

What happened next made Cain burst into laughter.

Two big, sturdy Ursaring knelt on the ground, begging for mercy.

"Who said bears are dumb?" Cain said with a grin.

The Ursaring surrendered under the gaze of Cain's Pokémon.

Cain threw two Poké Balls and captured them.

There was no resistance; the two Ursaring were captured immediately.

When Cain released them again, the Ursaring scratched their heads, unsure of what had just happened.

They simply felt as if they had suddenly entered a small space and then returned.

"Now you're captured in the Poké Balls, you have no chance of escaping," Cain showed the Poké Balls in his hand.

But the confused expression on the Ursaring's faces left Cain speechless.

Who said they were smart?

I take that back!

To hide his frustration, Cain explained how the Poké Balls worked.

Once they understood, the Ursaring lowered their heads, resigned to their fate.

However, the Ursaring with the scar over its eye, while lowering its head, darted its eyes around, thinking Cain didn't notice.

Cain shook his head and took out two red pills from his ring, tossing them to them.

"These are pills I made myself. Take them."

The Ursaring swallowed them in unison, and Cain continued.

"Although these pills have healing properties, their main effect is that they contain several poisons. If you don't follow my orders, without my antidote, the pills will dissolve in your stomach. Do you know what it feels like when your internal organs corrode?"

Hearing this, the Ursaring reacted, quickly shaking their heads.

"Then, do you want to experience it?"

They shook their heads even faster.

"Heh, if you don't want to, follow my orders. Otherwise... you'll feel it," Cain said in a cold tone that made the Ursaring shiver.

Even Gyarados, who was watching from behind, suddenly trembled, looking at Cain with fear, and then, with a sense of relief, at the Ursaring, feeling a sudden sense of superiority.

Slowpoke, who had witnessed everything, shook his head.

Two dumb bears, and one dumb dragon.

Truly foolish.
