“Well, if she ever leaves you, I can totally drive you home, and even from home to school. I have my own car, so I can totally do so.”

Jade sat in her car, still pissed off. 

It wasn't even based around Carmen at this point. It's more based on everyone who does that to family members.

She still hated the concept of some people not being able to wait a few extra minutes for someone.

She understands having somewhere to be and the person lacking respect, but she also understands safety over everything else.

Forks right now aren't good. It's quite dangerous, and just letting a family member walk home alone doesn't sit well with her.

She hates when her father gets drunk and walks home alone. Now, knowing a young teen walking home alone had her hating and dreading it a lot. 

Ding.

Hey, it's Carmen Swan. Hopefully, this is the right number…. 😖 My father says it's ok for you to come over. If you want, you can just follow my sister's truck to the house. Or I can send you the address so you can come over when you want.

4:13 p.m.

Jade read the text a couple of times before she sent a text back to Carmen.

The pissed off feeling she was feeling seconds ago was almost all gone when she was told she could hang out more with Carmen. She didn't need to be hanging out at home alone again, and she was thrilled about that.

Though she had to stop off at home first, so she can get changed like she does every day. 

Jade

Totally right number, i'll have to drop off at home first, so the address would be great.

4:13 p.m.

It took less than a minute to get a response back.

Carmen

Ok, i'll send the address to you very soon😀

4:14 p.m.

Third person pov.
With Carmen.

Carmen sent the address to Jade after a few minutes. Before she could send it, she ended up talking to Bella about Jade coming over.

She didn't expect Bella to get angry about it, though. 

Bella finding out about Carmen's friend coming over had her bitching about her not knowing this and how she should have asked a friend to also come over.

To Bella, Carmen should have told her sooner.

To Carmen, she didn't know what she did wrong to be bitched at.

These were basically all new plans. The time she told Bella was when she knew it was all happening. So being the one to get bitched about not telling her sooner even though that was the earliest she could have told her, this had Carmen staying quiet on the ride home.

She was doing her best to pick her battles. Right now, she had no idea what she did wrong, so she was just going to keep her mouth shut and not say anything and let Bella bitch it out.
