Heartless

Chapter 11

As I look at the huge black sea in front of us I feel as if this trip was impossible to begin with. "This is hopeless." I tell Crypt.

"No that's how it wants you to feel." He corrects me. Interesting. He guides me down the steep rock path to the small dock at the bottom of this cliff.

"What now?' I ask as we walk on the deck.

"Have you ever heard of Hades?" Crypt smirks knowingly. Alright what is it now?

"Yes, the god of the underworld?" I ask confused.

"Well he's like Death's assistant. So the boat guy, he's really." Crypt smirks. I shake my head and cross my arms. He is such a dork, what is happening with him? What is happening to me?

I watch as a boat appears with a mystery man rowing it. Boat guy, he is really, huh. "You called." His voice is emotionless as ever. And I thought Crypt was bad.

"Here please guide us to the land of insanity." Crypt asks the man.

"Pay me." He puts out his thing skeleton hand. He is literally a skeleton.

"Here." Crypt hands him gold pieces.

"Why are you paying him so much?" I ask.

"It's golden coins from Greece. It's the only kind he will take." Crypt shrugs as he boards the boat. "Give me your hand." He tells me.

Should I? I take his hand and he helps me onto the boat. He holds my waist as he stands behind me. What is this feeling? Why is it warm? I look at him and see his smile and I match it.

"You two seem perfect." The skeleton says to us.

"Thank you sir." Crypt nuzzles my neck. Why now, why is this happening to me?

"What's happening?" I ask nervously in a panic.

"You are getting closer to your heart so your emotions are slowly coming back, along with mine." Crypt whisper the last part.

"What do you mean yours?" I ask as I look into his eyes confused. I turn to face him as I hold his cheek in my hand.

He leans in closer so our noses are touching. "I love you." He kisses me passionately.

Our lips fit perfectly and begin their own dance. Then the boat stopped interrupting our kiss. "Well here we are. Good luck." The skeleton tells us.

"Come we have another level before we reach the castle." Crypt steps out of the boat giving me a hand onto the dock.

We wave goodbye as the boat disappear in the sea of madness. Almost there. Soon I won't be Heartless.

*sorry if it sounds weird. But I forgot the name of Greek money, when I do find out what it is, I will change it. And I am excited that it is soon leading to the big reveal. And I hope all of you will enjoy it.
