I wonder if I had known you before.
Did you reject me then?
Or loved me even more?I wonder if I had seen you before.
Maybe at the grocery or the metro
Library or even at the local book store.I wonder if I had realized you before
Then I would get more time
To place you right at my heart's core.I wonder if I had a talk with you before.
Maybe about the weather, the politics
Or our favorite team's last week score.I wonder if I had sat by your side before
Maybe then I would just listened to you
And never get bore.I wonder if I had a walk with you before.
Along the rivers rim, or the garden
Or even along the sea shore.I wonder if I had a coffee with you before.
Not in a renowned coffeeshop
In stead in a tribal folklore.I wonder if I had a journey with you before.
Maybe we could know how
The birds fly, or the lions roar.I wander in my thoughts
The thoughts you render
I wish I had you before
You still make me wonder.
