How far was your destiny?
How far?
That you declined your bonds.
Leaving permanent scars...
How dark was your shadows?
How dark?
That the shockwaves of your departure
Left an everlasting mark.
How dense was the forest?
How dense?
That descended upon sudden
An overwhelming silence.
How deep was the abyss?
How deep?
That we couldn't take control of
The drowning ship.
How thick was the mist?
How thick?
That we lost our way
And couldn't pick.
How heavy felt the heart?
How heavy?
That the pain in the neck.
Made you crazy.
How shattered was the mirror?
How fractured?
That you burnt your image.
Your own picture.
How silent was the scream?
How hushed?
That you stepped the unknown
Snows untouched.
Didn't you thought?
At the draining of your hourglass.
What your absence would mean?
Wouldn't it form rust?
Forming rust on the souls.
The souls that loved thee.
Denying the return of that love
Can in peace, you flee?
