Chapter 2.7 - She told us...

' I'm fine, just bored ' She replied with a tired smile.

' Want to continue watching? ' He asked while slicing the watermelon.

' Sure! I'll be in the living room. ' Saying that she hopped down, ran to the living room and waited for Jimin, who joined her minutes later.

Meanwhile, Jungkook's room was filled with laughter. Taehyung was playing with his dongsaeng while the other one enjoyed the moment.

' Ah hyung please stop ' Jungkook said while clutching his stomach, while Taehyung continued narrating his jokes.

Yoongi and Jin were working on some issues at the hospital, and Namjoon and Hobi were enjoying a workout session with each other in the backyard.

Yoongi - Finally done! I'll get these files checked tomorrow

Jin - Good, I'll do the rest

' Hyungg I'm hungry now! ' The younger whined. ' Dinner's already ready, I'll heat it ' Jin said with a chuckle and got up from the bed to prepare dinner.

All the others soon gathered at the dining table, and had a full dinner. They drifted off after the long day, and enjoyed a peaceful slumber.

The next day, as usual, Jimin woke the twins up and they got ready for school. Once they were done with their breakfast, they left for school along with Taehyung.

Ryujin - Oh So Hyun-ah!

So Hyun - Hi!

Ryujin - Ya where were you yesterday?

So Hyun - I had a really bad neck pain, I couldn't move

Ryujin - ( sigh ) Stay... okay sometimes will you?

' I'll try ' She said chuckling nervously.

They reached class and the lessons started, Everything was going well, until an upset Ms. Jung Hee barged into the class for her lesson.

Ms. Jung Hee - Have you all have been studying?

Class - Yes

Ms. Jung Hee - I'll ask a few questions then, let's see who's prepared.

She randomly chose students to answer. Mostly, it was the twins who she targeted. Once again, she asked Jungkook a question, it was the third time, and he stood there confused, not knowing the answer.

' KIM JUNGKOOK! I asked you a question. Explain how the physical environment of Earth affects living organisms. ' She shouted, voice brimming with fury.

' I-I... ' He sighed, not knowing what to say.

Ms Jung Hee - Meet me after class, you too, So Hyun

And with that she continued the lesson. Jungkook was standing the whole time, but at a point his legs started hurting.

The teacher left once the bell rang, and Jungkook and So Hyun went to see her after the lesson.

They went into the staff room and stood with their heads hung low, infront of Ms. Jung Hee.

' I'm very disappointed in both of you. You've become too overconfident don't you think? If you're scores were previously high, you think it'll remain the same? You haven't been taking your studies seriously. Whenever you feel like missing school, you'll take leaves. ' She said, raising her voice bit by bit.

' Do you take our teaching for granted? If I ask you a simple question, YOU CAN'T ANSWER! I doubt you study anything after going home. ' She growled and that was enough to make Jungkook scared. However So Hyun stayed unbothered, but deep down she wanted to burst too, and explain her side too.

' Next time I catch you slacking off in class, I'll make sure I meet your parents. Go back now, you're failing in one subject already, it doesn't need to repeat with the rest. ' She said looking away, not realizing what she had just said. Fail was never in the dictionary, no matter what is was, where the were they always succeeded. But did she just say... Fail?...

Jungkook and So Hyun walked out after bowing. As soon as they came out, a few tears escaped from Jungkook's eyes. He isn't used to such scolding, he'd been holding in for too long.

So Hyun - Hey, you're crying?

Jungkook - I-I'm goi-ng to f-fail

So Hyun - Who said? You won't fail Jungkook-ah

But that couldn't stop his floodgates, he cried while So Hyun hugged him tightly.

So Hyun - Ya, we'll talk later hmm? We have to go now, don't cry uh?

Jungkook - S-Sorry

So Hyun - Don't be, let's go now

They went back to class and the lesson continues. Jay could tell from Jungkook's face, that he had cried, so could the others.

Soon what felt like an eternity, school finally ended. Jungkook didn't do anything, just ran out of the campus and waited for his hyung. He dreaded for a hug, a hug of comfort, that made him feel he's not that bad.

Soon Jimin came, he stepped out of the car and Jungkook jumped on him. Jimin caught him right on time. Sensing something wrong, he didn't say anything.

Jimin stayed like that for minutes then got into the car. So Hyun also came with slow steps, looking down in anger. She didn't like what the teacher was saying, they had taken leave for good reasons. But, why wouldn't they understand...

The car ride to home was awkwardly silent, Even So Hyun was frustrated.

As soon as they reached home, without saying a word, they went to their rooms, did their routine and fell asleep.

After an hour, surprisingly the twins were awake before Namjoon arrived. Even he felt something was wrong, but didn't disturb them.

As promised, Taehyung came to teach them the topic they were crying about. They took their books and sat along with him. But, Taehyung felt weird. Usually both of them would be full of energy, today was just different.

When he was done explaining, he gave them a few questions to work on and left to do his work.

Even Jin noticed their behavior. At the dinner table, they both were looking so annoyed and frustrated. Jungkook's face was stained with tears when he came home, but they were scared to ask what's wrong.

Jin wasn't enjoying the atmosphere, something was wrong but no one was opening up. Finally he took a deep breath and asked. ' What's wrong? You both have been acting weird the whole day. Don't tell me you fought. '

That was it, Jungkook's floodgates opened. His cries intensified and everyone got worried. The words that the teacher said echoed in his mind.
