every morning,
I wake to the sound,
of the pretty yellow bird,
singing her song.
but lately
as the leaves began to change,
it's been harder and harder,
to wake everyday.
I give thanks to that pretty yellow bird,
as it pushes me to wake,
so I can catch a glimpse,
while it sings its song.
I can only hope
to hang on long enough,
that when spring returns,
and brings the pretty yellow bird,
that I will be here
to see it once more.
