I fly on clouds to Neverland, two stars in the sky and half past morning.
If you go there, I promise, I bet,
you'll meet the strangest man ever to be met.
He has pixie dust tears,
and is scared of flying,
he says his ears ring,
and he's always crying.
He told me I'll turn out fine if I just go back home.
But I want to be young forever, I say.
My dear, there's something better than youth,
there's lost boys having fun until they begin to miss home,
and mommy and daddy and their friends on the phone.
You want to stay young forever, you'll think it's okay.
But it gets colder at night when we're done with playing all day.
But my mom says growing up is a tragedy, I tell the old man.
He shakes his head, the stars coating his clothes.
We're all lost boys, says the man on the train.
And life shouldn't have to last, that's the quickest way you'll end up mad.
It's like throwing a stone in the sea but you can never hear the splash.
