Percy-different ending

"You did good Percy. I'm sorry about Annabeth." He said sadly

Percy nodded his head and walked back to his cabin. As soon as he got into bed, he fell asleep. In his dreams he replayed Annabeth's death over and over. He woke with a start to somebody knocking on his door.

"Percy are you in there" Grover said

"coming" he said tiredly and got out of bed

"You have to see this" said Grover urgently

They both ran and Percy saw a group of campers crowded around a spot where two young children around the same age had collapsed. He saw Jason Hazel Frank and Leo standing there with their mouths open. Chiron galloped over to see what was happening and gasped when he saw the children. Two of the campers from the Apollo cabin ran and carried the children to the infirmary.

"These must be the children from the prophecy. How did they get here alone?" said Chiron as he galloped away following the Apollo campers. Percy grabbed Grover and ran to catch up to Chiron. He felt excited for the first time in two days. They reached the infirmary and sat outside on the ground.

"Who do you think their godly parent is?" asked Percy

"I don't know but I really want to find out" replied Grover

They sat there for a few hours, waiting for the children to walk out and Percy drifted off. He dreamt of Romans gathering in a small dark stone room, talking about how they were going to invade camp. He saw Nico di Angelo, Coach Hedge and Reyna trapped in a jail-like cell. The Athena Parthenos was no where to be seen. Nico looked pale and he seemed like he was fading. Percy tried to help them, but he couldn't move or speak. He saw Coach Hedge sitting in the corner of the cell muttering to himself about Mellie. He woke to Grover shaking his shoulder. Percy was still sitting in the chair in front of the infirmary.

"Dude you, ok?" Grover asked

"Yeah, I think. Why?" he replied with a shaky breath

"Well, you were kind of muttering something about camp and Romans. What's going on?"

Before he could reply, one of the Apollo campers walked out with the children.

"Percy this is Peter and Paige. They are twins. Will you take them to the Hermes cabin until they are claimed?" he asked

"Sure" Percy replied eagerly

He took Peter's hand and Grover grabbed Paige's hand and they started walking to cabin eleven. Nobody really talked much, but Peter kept staring in awe at the campers training and climbing the lava wall. Travis Stoll walked them into the cabin and helped them set up their things. Just as they walked out, Chiron walked over.

"We are having an assembly to welcome the newcomers" he said

Grover walked over, grabbed Paige's hand, and took her to the Dining Pavilion. Percy followed with Peter and Chiron guided them to the Hermes table. Percy sat down at the Poseidon table and got his food. He waited until it was his turn to scrape food into the flames and then sat down to eat. Percy saw Peter and Paige go up to the flames and scrape some food off their plate, looking confused as they did. He waved to Peter and Paige, and they smiled and waved back. After eating Percy and Grover sat together, chatting. Just then, Percy saw a light above Peter and Paige's heads. He glanced up and saw that they had been claimed. Percy's mouth dropped. Everyone was staring.

"What's everyone staring at?" asked Peter as he glanced above his head. Peter's jaw dropped.

Percy was speechless. He tried to speak but his voice wasn't working. The symbol of a trident was above their heads. The new campers, they had been claimed by Poseidon.

"Well then," Said Chiron in shock "it has been settled. Peter and Paige. Son and daughter of Poseidon."

Percy felt a wave of happiness crash over him. His happiness was short lived. Just as he stood up to walk over to Peter and Paige, he heard yelling and shouting. Romans. Percy jumped out of his seat and pulled out riptide from his pocket. The campers from the Ares cabin jumped up and charged into battle. Of course, Clarisse was leading them. Percy ran forward and disarmed the first few Romans. He had no time to celebrate.

"Hold Lines!!" yelled a familiar voice. Octavian.

Gods Percy hated that guy. The Romans stopped advancing and Percy could see a black box being carried on wheels by Pegasi. 'Reyna Nico and Coach Hedge have to be in there' Percy said to himself He saw the Athena Parthenos being wheeled in as well. Percy ran back to the Dining Pavilion and told Chiron what he saw.

"We need to get them out of that cage before they run out of air," said Percy

"I know Percy, but we can't" he replied

Percy ran back to the battle and saw the Romans advancing again. He pulled out Riptide and charged into battle. He saw Peter and Paige being given a sword and quickly being taught the basics. Percy saw Hazel and Frank staring in horror at the people that they had been friends with and the people that they had trained with. The Athena Parthenos started to glow. Annabeth would've been so happy to see the statue here. He thought to himself. A tear trickled down his cheek. Peter walked over to him and stood there staring.

"Are you ok Percy?" he asked

"huh" Percy replied quickly wiping the tear from his cheek "yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

Peter runs back to Paige and stands next to her. Chiron was talking with the head counsellors -minus Percy- and giving them orders. Hazel and Frank were hugging while Jason and Leo were chatting. Percy looked on at Hazel and Frank and realised just how much he missed Annabeth. He walked over to Chiron and joined in the conversation.

"So, Chiron when the Romans start advancing again what do we do?" asks the head counsellor for the Hephaestus cabin

"Ah Percy good to know you're here now. So, we will attack them from behind. I will have the Hephaestus campers gathered in the forest with traps and the Apollo campers stationed to the left and right of them. Make sure to stay hidden" he replied

"Wait Chiron don't. this is all a trick from Gaia and her minions. Even though she and half her army are destroyed the remaining monsters can still attack. This is all a trick. We need to side with the Romans." Percy said urgently.
