Shanaya's POV

Never in my life have I been ready earlier than the time given to me but today was an exception. Obviously it had to be I was meeting the players I'd grew up watching.

Virat Kohli se Milne waali hu. Ab toh mar bhi jaau koi nahi.

I'd texted Shubman that I was ready so he could come pick me up as he had promised. Mehar had decided to dump me and come on a different flight because she had some family commitment.

Gandi aurat.

Well after 15 minutes of waiting and thinking every possible scenario that could take place when I meet the Indian cricket team Shubman was finally here dressed in his travelling jersey his hair all sleeked back and a smile adorned in his face.

As I sat in the passengers seat I was greeted by the hug as well as Shub offering me the aux to play the songs. He knew I would want my morning dose of music and I love him for that.

"Good morning Shanaya ji." He said with all the excitement flashed up on his face.

"Good morning to you to Shub. All set for the flight?"

"All set. Just so happy to be back on the field with the guys. Just don't embarrass me when you see Virat bhai."

he knew that his plea would go to waste.
What was he expecting me to be? Formal? Civil? Because obviously meeting the VIRAT KOHLI would be oh so easy.

"I'll try my best Shub. Emphasis on the word try." I reply trying my best to encourage him that nothing could go wrong.

The rest of the drive was filled with music and us trying to sing every song possible even if we didn't know the lyrics which ended up being more funnier than we thought it would.

The airport was about half an hour away so it didn't take us much time to reach there. As we checked in I saw Ishan sitting in the lounge AirPods in his ears unaware of us standing directly in front of him.

"Ishi kishi." I say as I went in to hug him.

"Shanaaaa. I missed you yaar. Shubman toh tumhe Chura hi leta hai." Ishan says hugging me back

"I know right. He's so annoying." I saw fake rolling my eyes just to annoy him

"Oh hello Mai bhi yahi hu. Mujhe kyu toda jaa raha hai?" He said faking his tears.

"Truth is truth bro. Next time I'm coming Mohali with you." Ishan says as he goes in to hug Shub.

"Yea yea sure." Shub says hugging him back.

"Baaki sab kaha hai?"

"Oh so Rohit and Virat bhai went to discuss something with Gambhir sir and baaki sab khaana khaane gaye hai. They'll be back in like 2 minutes I think. Mai toh so gaya tha. I just woke up before you guys came."

"Okay shit I'm freaking out. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be here in two minutes. Mai kya karungi. What if I do something stupid and they hate me for the rest of their lives?" I saw panic lacing my voice.

"Shanaya chill everything will be fine. You'll be alright. Don't worry." Shub reassures

"Exactly. Plus they're so fun you'll get to know that during this trip." Ishan added

"I just hope I make a good impression in front of them."

"In front of who?"

Okay no fucking way. Virat Kohli was in this room breathing the same air as me. I'm going to die.

"Virat bhai dekhna. Shanaya is your biggest fan and ever since I've met her she keeps saying how better you are than everyone and how she's chose you I've me in like a second." Shubman pouts

"Shanaya has an excellent choice that means. Haina Shanaya?"

"Yes bhaiya." Embarrassment flushing my cheeks.

"Shanaya im happy to see you here after all the blabbering Shubman has done about you over the past 2 months. He really doesn't shut up."

I laugh at his statement.

"Haina bhaiya. He's always talking non stop."

"Oh hello. Why are you guys teaming up on me? Wasn't I the one who introduced you to eachother just a second back?"

"Shanaya is my behen now. We can do whatever we want. Tu kahi jaa aur apna dekhle."

Ishan who was witnessing this conversation was trying to hold his laugh but couldn't control it and giggles echoed through the large and almost empty hall.

"Exactly. Thankyou bhaiya. Shub now you can go. Bye." I say smiling at him but he isn't taking any of it and starts humming the lyrics of "bewafa".

"Stop being so dramatic Shub. You'll have to share her with everyone now." Virat bhai says laughing

"Ye mere Bina kya mazaak hi raha hai?" Rohit bhai interrupts.

"Oh hi Shanaya so nice to meet you. Shub ne tumhare bare me bohot kuch bataya hai."

Shubman's POV

Would it be weird if I say I shouldn't have bought Shanaya here? She's gotten along so well with everyone especially Virat bhai and Rohit bhai that she doesn't have time to talk to me.

And Virat bhai and Rohit bhai are no less telling her every possible embarrassing story of me.

I hate this.

"And then his mid face went all flat when he bumped into that pillar." Virat bhai laughed.

"Shubman Sahi mai bohot woh hai." Rohit bhai adds

"He means paagal."

"Oh Acha." Shanaya laughs at the fifth story that has been shared.

Bhai mujhe kyu baar baar toda jaa raha hai.

Shanaya's POV

Officially my new best day ever. I can't believe I'm friends with my favourite cricketers and we're all making fun of Shubman.

I love annoying him.

Well right now we're in our way to the flight where I'm sat between Shub and Ishan. Those two are the most funny yet serious people I've ever met. They're so carrier oriented but at the same time can't keep from laughing.

Gautum sir has already told them to keep it low two times and it hasn't even been 10 minutes to our flight

It's weird and just like a dream at the same time travelling with these guys. All of them are just so sweet and considerate.

"So how is the flight?" Shubman whispers to not disturb Ishan who is in deep slumber.

"Really good. I love today. it has been so good."

"Of course it has. Making fun of me always brings you joy doesn't it." He scrunches his nose with that remark.

"That it does." I say smiling widely

Almost everyone had slept and I was sleepy too. Shubman and I were watching a movie but I couldn't keep up so I rested my head on his shoulder and fell asleep. It's a common occurrence of this happening now.

Bhai why can't you ask me out?
