Kuai and Zuko 2 [ON HIATUS]

Chapter 4: AGH! Why did I look?!

Toph rejoined the Gaang outside. Kuai was hiding behind a tree waiting for the clear. Toph split a small fault into the ground towards Kuai, causing a rumble (like a tiny earthquake) to shake her off her feet. Kuai landed face down in the dirt with an UMPH, but then started giggling at Toph.

Kuai: How'd I do at distracting The Dark One?

Toph: Eh, you could've done better.

Kuai: Wow, thanks.

Aang: Hey Toph.

Sokka: How you doin'?!

Toph: Fine. My students are still cowards, though.

Katara: *mumbles*  I'm surprised you didn't use bloodbending on them.

Toph: Wait, what? I thought only you and Hama could do that!

Kuai: You guys know Hama?

Sokka: She's a freaky innkeeper-witch! She keeps creepy puppets in her closet!

Kuai: Eek...

Aang: She's locked away now.

Toph: So how did you learn how to bloodbend?

Kuai: From the prisoners who learned from that lady.

Katara: Apparently she's better than both Hama and I.

Kuai: Can we change the subject please? I'm not comfortable about this...

Sokka: Here's something: Where on earth is Zuko?

Aang: Yeah, he just disappeared...

Toph hit the ground with the bottom of her foot to see better with her earthbending.

Toph: He's not too far from here... *points to her right* He's over in a thicker part of this forest.

Katara: Why'd he leave?

Sokka: Who knows why Zuko does anything?

Aang: Let's go.

They started walking behind Top, because she knew where to go better than anyone else. After a little while, Toph pointed in front of her.

Toph: Behind that tree.

Katara: Okay let's-

Aang: Sweetie, maybe Kuai should handle this one.

Katara: Why?

Toph: Isn't it obvious, Sugar Queen?

Katara grumbled something under her breath.

Kuai: Ok, I'll be back quickly... just stay there...

Kuai walked forward about twenty feet before reaching the tree Toph talked about. She went around it to find Zuko sitting against it, his eyes closed.

Kuai: Hey, cutie.

Zuko: *angrily* Hi.

Kuai: *sits in front of him* What's wrong?

Zuko: You know what's wrong.

Kuai: I wish that was true. Please tell me.

Zuko: I walked out here to avoid you and Toph's little plan.

Kuai: Why? Sokka and Aang thought it was funny.

Zuko: Well it wasn't. It was stupid!

Kuai: Why? I got the job done.

Zuko: Is The Dark One really that great?

Kuai: Wait- what?! That's what this is about, isn't it? I told you he's like fourteen or something. I'm, like, almost twenty!

Zuko: You know, it's hard watching you try so hard to flirt with another guy.

Kuai: I SAT THROUGH YOU DATING MAI FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS!!! You can't deal with FIVE MINUTES?!?! Five minutes of acting?

Zuko: Ugh, I know I'm being stupid. But that's just how I felt!

Kuai: It's okay, cutie. I'm used to you being stupid. *smiles and laughs*

Zuko: Not helping.

Kuai: Come on, grumpy. Let's head back to the others.

Kuai helped Zuko up and walked before him.

Zuko: Wait, Kuai.

Kuai: What?

Zuko: Sorry.

Kuai: *rolls eyes* It's fine.

Zuko: Come over here...

Kuai: Okay...*walks up to him* And why am I-

Zuko cupped his hand on Kuai's cheek and quickly brought her lips to his. She was shocked at first but kissed him back. The kiss got a little bit... deeper, you could say. *switch scenes to group*

Toph: Ugh, gross!

Sokka: What?

Toph: Well, as you would say, ...oogies.

Aang: What?

Aang stomped on the ground to use Toph's sight technique. Then he saw Kuai and Zuko.

Aang: AGH! Why did I look?!

Katara: What happened?

Aang: OOGIES!

Sokka: Now you know how we feel!

Katara: So Kuai and Zuko are....

Toph: Making out, yes.

Katara: They used to do that all the time, why does it matter now?

Aang: BECAUSE WE NEVER WATCHED! EWW!

Sokka: So that settles it, Aang is scarred for life.

Kuai and Zuko walked back to the group through the trees.

Kuai: Hey guys.

Zuko: Hi.

Aang: Ugh..bleeeehhhckk. *pretends to puke*

Kuai: What happened to him?

Toph: Oh nothi-

Sokka: OOGIES! Oogies happened! Can't you people go 10 minutes without oogies?! Gross!

Katara: Sokka, you didn't even have to see it.

Kuai: The reason your "oogies" are done behind the trees is so you guys won't complain.

Toph: Whatever.

Aang: I think I'm good now...

Toph: You know you didn't have to look, Twinkle Toes. I had to because it's the only way I see at all.

Zuko: Would you guys stop complaining?!

Kuai: Yeah, we should get going... wait, where are we going?
