Kuai and Zuko 2 [ON HIATUS]

Chapter 11: I-I Did It-t

After the dancing situation was under control, and Guru Pathik was lectured about wedding traditions, it was time for Kuai and Zuko to dance.

Zuko wasn't the best dancer, so he was pretty nervous, but Kuai convinced him to get off his butt and have fun. It looked more like awkward hugging than dancing (lol), but everyone thought it was adorable anyways.

Iroh, of course, was playing the usual sunki horn. He wasn't going to stop playing until they were done, but it had already been like 20 minutes so people just decided to join in and dance.

Eventually Iroh stopped playing the music, but Zuko just kept standing there with his arms around Kuai. She giggled and kissed him, getting applause from the people who saw. When the applause stopped, people expected the kissing to stop, but it didn't.

They just kept going and going and going.

Toph let out a fake cough to alert Kuai and Zuko to the fact that there was a lot of people around.

They separated, Zuko smiling like an idiot and Kuai blushing from embarrassment.

After a while, it was time for the guests to leave the palace. The Kyoshi Warriors were in charge of making sure NO ONE could have possibly stayed behind. After checking and double-checking, they were dismissed from their posts and the Royal Guard was in charge.

That night...certain things (which I will not mention...) happened.

The next morning when Zuko woke up, the palace chefs were already preparing breakfast, so the two of them needed to be awake soon. He whispered to Kuai

Zuko: Kuai, it's time to wake up.

Kuai: Not until I say it is.

Kuai apparently sleeps in a lot now.

Zuko: If I give you a nickname will you get up?

Kuai: Like you could come up with one.

Kuai turned her back to him and tried to get back to sleep. Zuko thought and thought, trying to come up with a nickname to match 'Cutie.' Suddenly, he got an idea.

Zuko: Lovely *kisses her cheek* you need to get up.

Kuai turned to face him.

Kuai: Cutie *kisses his cheek* you got me.

They both got up and put on their robes. Kuai passed the mirror, but then came back to it and saw that her hair was frizzy and all over the place. Apparently she forgot to take out all the braids before going to bed.

She slapped Zuko's arm.

Kuai: You were about to let me go out looking like a retarded saber-tooth moose lion?!

Zuko: *giggles* I was going to wait until you noticed.

Kuai: You're lucky I love you... *slaps him again*

She fixed her hair as Zuko shaved. Usually servants would do that kind of stuff for them, but Kuai has too much of an independent side for that.

When finished, they walked out to the dining hall, holding hands. Zuko sat at the head of the table and Kuai in a seat on his left side.

They began eating the food prepared for them when Kuai saw a red line on Zuko's cheek.

Kuai: Oh, cutie, you nicked yourself shaving.

Zuko: Really? (the blade was new and clean, so he didn't really feel it)

Kuai: Yes, right there *softly touches the small cut with her thumb*

Zuko: *cringe* Please don't touch it.

Kuai: Can you let me try to heal it?

Zuko: I thought you couldn't do that.

Kuai: I've been practicing. Let me try..

Zuko: Okay, lovely.

Kuai bent water from her glass and put it over his cheek and focused. She was trying so hard but couldn't seem to get it. After half a minute of trying, she saw the water begin to glow randomly. She was shocked and stopped, spilling the water on the table. She looked at him and the scratch was gone.

Kuai: C-cutie...

Zuko: What?

Kuai: I-I did it-t.

Zuko: You healed it?

Kuai: Yes, I did! 

Kuai was so excited that she could finally heal that she pulled Zuko's head towards her an then kissed him passionately for three seconds.

Zuko: Well that was nice.

A/N: Sorry it was so short. I just needed to get the info in that she finally gets her healing ability. 

Aren't they just the cutest together?! And Kuai's new nickname...Lovely. It doesn't work out as much as Cutie does but whatever.
