A Cheek Kiss

~ Mitch's POV ~

I didn't know where I was driving. In Florida there was a lot of places to eat, but I knew I couldn't go to any fancy restaurant. Cause if I did it would be like a date and I didn't want to make things awkward between Ashley and I. I liked her a lot, but I don't know how she feels.

I stopped at a place where they had really good hamburgers. We both got out of the car and it was a tension between us. Neither of us knew what to say or talk about. That's why we always hang out together when were with other friends. On the other hand it was going to be nice. To be with Ashley, alone. At

We walked into the place and tried to decide what we wanted to eat. I cought my eyes on a hamburger that looked delicious. It was called "Angus Burger".
"So what are you going to take?" I asked to break the silent. I could see that she was a bit suprised but she answered: "I think I'll take..." She stopped for a sekund to read on the sign. "..Angus Burger"
"Oh, What a suprise. I was actually gonna take that too" I said with a smile. She smiled at me.

We walked forward to take our orders. I spoke first at the boy, that seemed to be around my age, and said:
"2 Angus Burgers please" He wrote it down and asked: "And what are you drinking?"
"A Coke for me" I answered then looked at Ashley.
" Just some apple juice" She answered and looked at him, that was taking our orders. He seemed to be flirting with Ashley. I felt a wave of jealousy go through me. I paid for us both, even tho Ashley tried to convince me that she could pay for herself. But I just felt like I wanted to pay for her. It was almost like a date..

~ Ashley's POV ~

We went to a table and sat down, waiting for our burgers to come. I smiled because of what just happend.
The guy who was taking our orders clearly was flirting with me. And it looked like Mitch was a bit jealous. I don't know why that made me feel good. Did he like me?

"So, how has things been in England?" Mitch asked and brought me back to reality from my thoughts.
"It's been good. Except all the rain and boringness..." And we started to talk, without any awkward silent moments. It felt so good. That I almost decided to tell him how I feel. But I kept myself in control.

I saw the waitress come with our burgers and drinks. It was the same guy that took our orders. As he did before he flirted with me when he handed my plate and drink. I looked at Mitch, the same reaction as before. When he left we went back to the normal talking. I took a bite of my burger, it was a little unseasoned for me so I reached for the salt that was on our table. I didn't notice that Mitch reached for it too and our hands touched like we did before in the car. We blushed and he took his hand away to kind of say that I could have it first.

It was a bit awkward after what happend but we started to talk as usual after a moment. When we had finished and was about to leave a girl around 14 years came up to us.
"Omg, is it you?! The bajancanadian? And the Ashleymarieegaming? Can we take a selfie?" She said really excited.
We both smiled and looked at each other.
"Sure" Mitch answered. The girl was in the middle and Mitch on her left side and I was on her right. I smiled in the picture and so did Mitch. After the picture the girl asked:
"So is Mashley finally a thing now?"
"No" Mitch and I said at the exact time. I blushed and looked at him and he was doing the same. Then we looked at the girl that looked a bit dissapointed and said: "Oh..."
But she soon became happy again. "But you should, you're so cute together" Then she ran away.

When we arrived at the house we stayed in a car for a while. Nobody had said anything on the ride home and neither of us did it now. We just stared out of the window. A coupple minutes pasted and then finally one of us said something.
"Well, we should go inside if we don't wanna stay in the car all night" He said with an uncomfortable laugh. He reached to open the door but I stopped him by saying: "Mitch?" He turned around and looked me right in the eyes when he said: "Yes?"
"Thank you. For letting me stay here, with you and Jerome. For an awesome evening and everything" I said and gave him a quick kiss on his cheek before I quickly went out of the car, walking fast, really fast, to the house. *Why did you do that?* I thought, embarresed over myself. I did regret the thing I did, but at the same time not. I didn't stop my speed until I came into my room and sat down at my bed.

~ Mitch's POV ~

I couldn't move. I was kind of frozen. Ashley just kissed me. Fine it was just on the cheek but I felt happiness in my whole body. Did that mean that she liked me? Or was it like a friend kiss thingy? I couldn't recist myself from smiling. It was all just perfect.

After a while when I finally was able to move I got out of the car and realised that Ashley had forgotten her purse. I took it and went inside. Jerome was in the kitchen looking in the fridge.
"Where's all the food?" He grumbled for himself. When he closed the fridge and realised that I was stand-ins next to him he jumped.
"What the fuck Mitch? You scared the shit out of me" He asked and laughed a bit. I just smiled.
"How was the romantic dinner you and Ashley had?" He smirked and gave me a look that meant did you tell her that you love her?
"We just got some food, and no I did not tell her"

Jerome looked at me like he was wondering why but didn't say anything.
"Well, but what did you do then?" He asked after a while.
"What do you mean by what did I do?"
"She came in, almost ran past me straight to her room" He explained.
"Oh, it was.." I began but didn't really want to tell him. Then I remembered the purse I was holding and used it for an excuse.
"She forgot her purse, I need to give it to her" I said. Jerome opened his mouth to say something but by that time I was gone, going upstairs.

I soflty knocked on the door before I opened it. Ashley was sitting at her desk editing some video. But when she saw me she immediatly got up.
"You forgot something" I said giving her the purse.
"Thanks" She said while she put it on the desk.
"I think I'll be going to bed now" She continued trying to avoid the silent.
"In those clothes?" I asked. She nodded.
"I don't have anything else, you remember?"
"Nah, a penguin can't sleep with that. I'll let you barrow something from me" I said walking to my room before she even got to try to stop me.

~ Ashley's POV ~

I just stood there while waiting for Mitch to come back. He went to get me something to sleep in even tho I was totally fine with sleeping with that I was wearing. Shortly he came back with a long grey shirt. I took it when he gave it to me.
"Thanks, but I could've.." I didn't get to say anymore before he cut me off by saying: "It was no problem, sleep well" I nodded as a "You too". Then I went to the bathroom to change.

The shirt was like a dress on me but I liked it. I turned my laptop of, then the lights and then in bed. I checked Twitter, instagram and other social medias before I fell asleep.
