Holy shitHoly fucking shit
I stood outside of her locked door, aimlessly wondering what the fuck I had actually done.
I kissed her, she kissed me.
I gulped, holding a hand to my chest. It felt like I was about to have a heart attack. Yet I couldn't move from my spot.
Had I hurt her feelings? Had I done something wrong?
"Umph" I grunted, another wave of pain hit my chest. It was despairing. And it all had been my fault.
I couldn't go after her, I couldn't court her and be what she wanted. She didn't know me, didn't know what I had done, how many of her people I had tortured and killed.
I couldn't stain her heart with my evilness, I couldn't let my self be with something so innocent and pure as her. I would only hurt her, just as I had done so now.
I slowly made my way into my room. Breathing in slowly in hopes of relief, but it never came.
I showered, changed, waited for her outside her door. Walked her to meetings and took her to Helena's house.
But the dull and achy pain was still there.
We drove back in silence. Yes, she had chosen to take her car there, but I couldn't bring my self to say anything to her. I knew she probably didn't want anything like last night to repeat itself
And she was probably right.
I knew I had to apologize though, and after saying it for the first time in my life yesterday. It seemed easier to say now.
She had not even spared a glance at me, I followed her around like a los puppy and picked up the clues she merely threw at me. I knew she was beyond pissed at me, rightfully so.
I swallowed the lump in my throat and pulled the car into the driveway. She sat beautifully next to me in the passenger seat, playing with a neckless I hadn't seen her wear before.
I was about to start speaking, but before I could say anything she pulled the car door open and stepped out. Stunned, I quickly got off and followed her.
My insides started to feel heavy with whatever new emotion she had awakened in me as I watched her calmly walk into the castle. I tried to keep my eyes off her body, but it was impossible.
She wore tight light blue jeans and a simple sleeveless top, but it drove me mad.
You chose this Xavier, you chose to stay away.
And so I endured it.
Her father came back and started involving her more in pack matters, she started to train more, we would run patrol and train with the pack.
I had to watch her wrestle men and get hurt, but I couldn't say anything. I couldn't be selfish.
I would take her to and from Helena's house everyday, watch her play with the stinky human cat and watch her cook magnificent food.
I knew I looked a mess. Eve bags and dark stubble. Annoyed at anyone that tried to talk to me.
However as time passes it seemed to be better. The pain was still there but I figured that I'd give my life to protect her and that would be enough. That would make my life less miserable than what it already was.
Running next to her in the mornings felt less heavy, taking her to see Helena was less rough, being in meetings with her was less painful on me.
One morning however, I woke up earlier than usual. Something felt odd and the stillness of the morning didn't help my wariness.
So I quickly stood up and threw on a shirt.
Then I heard it, the small cry that made my skin rise with goosebumps.
Isabella
A small whimper of pain had me shooting up and rushing towards her.
I tore her door down and was next to her within seconds.
She was curled up in her bed, her eyes shut tightly but her body was burning up. "Princess" I said, slowly pressing a hand to her cheek. She was more than burning up.
Her hair stuck to her forehead with sweat. "X-avier?" She whispered, her voice hoarse sent a pang directly to my heart.
I couldn't speak, she seemed so fragile and helpless. "I need you to do me a favor"
"Anything" Her soft face relaxed for a second, before twisting into agony. "I need you to get my dad here now..." She whispered, barely having enough breath to speak.
"There's a button under my desk, you're going to press it, it's going to turn on an alarm"
What was she talking about?
"Get my father"
I eyed the walkie next to her bed, I quickly turned it on and urged her father's guards to wake him. Next I went under her desk, sure enough there was a bright red button.
I looked at her again, her gaze already meeting mine. She nodded, giving me confirmation of which button to click.
I pressed the button, and immediately bright red lights and an alarm started to go off.
Caution, please find shelter and do not come out. I repeat, caution, find shelter and do not come out.
"It's too late for my dad to help, you must do it." She said, snapping me out of any coherent thought I might've had.
"I don't understand Princess" She shakily pulled the covers off her body. "You need to take me outside, as far away as possible from any pack members"
"What? Why? You know we can't" I sat next to her, ready to carry her to the nearest clinic. "My father told you about Amarok? Yes?"
"Yes but he si that was him... Is that why he's not here?" I asked, still shaken at the thought of having to lock her away in case of an emergency while she was in this state.
"It's not my dad, it's me."
