Aria walks alongside Cristina and Meredith as the three discuss Meredith and Derek's recent attempts at starting a family. Meredith's expression reveals a hint of worry, but her sister and best friend are clearly here to offer support and a bit of tough love.

"Try again. Could be a false negative," Cristina suggests bluntly, with Aria nodding in agreement as they stroll through the hospital corridors.

"Maybe you tested too early. What is it, day ten?" Aria asks, glancing at Meredith with a reassuring smile.

"Yeah," Meredith responds with a sigh, looking a bit unsure.

"Yeah, totally early. Pee on a bunch of different sticks. Don't let the one stick win," Cristina adds, fully backing Aria's advice.

Meredith rolls her eyes, half-amused. "Well, it's a scientific test. I hardly think I can bend it to my will."

Cristina shrugs, unfazed. "I'm doing three surgeries today. I did four yesterday. I'm unstoppable. And you got defeated by a piece of plastic covered in urine? Buck up," she says with a smirk. Aria lets out a laugh, nudging Meredith playfully.

As they approach the elevator, Jackson, April, and Alex catch up with the trio, joining their stride.

"What's this, everybody got paged?" Jackson asks, noticing the gathering group.

"It's that time of year again," Aria replies knowingly, raising an eyebrow as if it's a shared secret.

"The chicks have hatched," Alex adds with a small smirk, glancing at the doors where a nervous group of med students is clustered.

April furrows her brow in confusion, sharing a look with Jackson. "Is that some sort of code?"

"Those chicks," Alex explains, nodding toward the first-year med students looking completely out of place.

"Oh, first-year med students. Too dumb to find the toilet," Cristina mutters, as Meredith and Aria exchange chuckles.

Just then, Richard steps up, commanding the attention of the residents who quickly straighten up, ready for whatever speech he's about to give.

"Good morning. Behind me stand the interns and residents of tomorrow," Richard announces, his voice loud enough to echo across the lobby. "Today, you will show them what it's like to be a surgeon. When you go into surgery, they go into surgery. When they have a question, you will answer."

"Sounds like court-ordered community service," Cristina grumbles under her breath as the others stifle laughs.

"I'd rather be picking up trash off the side of the highway," Meredith mutters, crossing her arms. Aria nods in agreement, shooting her a sympathetic look.

"Fred Wilson, you're with Dr. Yang. Kira Donnelley, with Dr. Grey. Hudson Powell, with Dr. Kepner," Lexie says as she reads out the assignments for the day.

"Laurel Pinson..." Lexie continues, when Alex leans in and whispers, "Mine," claiming his new intern with a mischievous smirk. Aria raises an eyebrow, giving Alex a knowing look.

"Laurel, you're... with Dr. Karev," Lexie says, glancing at him with a smirk. Alex barely hides his grin as Laurel steps forward, looking a mix of nervous and excited.

"Edward Taylor, Dr. Avery," Lexie continues, and Edward waves a bit too enthusiastically at Jackson, who looks less than thrilled, his mouth twitching as Aria laughs quietly at his expression.

"Really?" Jackson mumbles under his breath, clearly not impressed.

"Joe McIntyre, you're with the other Dr. Grey," Lexie announces, and a tall young man with piercing green eyes and brown hair steps forward, waving at Aria with a warm smile. Aria catches his gaze, smiling back as he approaches.
