"There must something you can do. If you loved me enough you would do whatever you could to get rid of him." Aria teased while Alex stopped turning towards his girlfriend.

"Is that the case? You want me to get rid of Stark? And because I can't I don't love you have I got that right?" He mused watching her while Aria smiled at him her blue eyes shining while she cupped his cheeks.

"Maybe that was an exaggeration but he's horrible. How are we ever going to learn how to be surgeons with him?" Aria mumbled while Alex leaned in pressing his lips against hers.

"I can't get rid of Stark but I can make it a very difficult day or keep your mind off it." He mumbled pressing his lips against hers once again. Alex pulled back slightly as his eyes fell on a huge surprise.

"Robbins, you're back!" Alex said causing Aria to turn around quickly looking at the former paediatric attending.

"Please tell me you're actually back and not just visiting." Aria practically begged while Richard looked between the three of them. Arizona beamed excitedly looking between both of her residents.

"Now, those are the reactions I was hoping for!" She exclaimed while Richard got paged causing her to turn to the two of them. As the three began to catch up specifically about Stark as both voice their hatred for the guy.

The tension in the ER was thick enough to cut with a scalpel as the team awaited the incoming wave of patients. Owen's voice crackled over the voices of the surgeons, steady and firm despite the gravity of the situation.

"There are 15 ambulances on the way, maybe more to come. First one is three minutes out."

A somber silence settled over the group, everyone's mind reeling back to the tragedy they had faced just six months ago. The memory of the mass casualty incident was still raw, like a wound that refused to fully heal. The anticipation in the room felt eerily familiar, and the weight of what was coming seemed to press down on each of them.

Richard's voice broke the silence, steady but kind, as he addressed his team with an empathetic but firm reminder. "People, people. Our own trauma is fresh, and we are gonna have feelings today, and there's no shame in that. What I want to say is what we went through six months ago, they are going through right now. Which makes them our brothers and sisters. Which makes them fellow travelers. Which makes them our own. So, to the very best of our ability, we are gonna do our work first, and you're gonna have your feelings later."

Lexie's eyes shone with unshed tears as Richard's words hit home. The memories of the tragedy six months ago surged forward, the images of pain and chaos as vivid as ever. She struggled to keep her emotions in check, but a small sob escaped before she could stop it. Her gaze dropped, embarrassed, as she wiped at her eyes.

"Grey?" Owen's voice cut through her thoughts, pulling her back to the present. His tone was gentle but with a hint of concern.

"I'm fine. I'm fine!" Lexie replied, forcing a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. Everyone in the room watched her, a mixture of sympathy and understanding in their expressions. She could feel their worry, and that only made it harder to keep her composure especially seeing Aria and Mark.

Mark stepped in, sensing that Lexie needed a task to ground herself. "Go to the pit and make sure we're stocked. Call the blood bank..." he instructed, his voice steady and grounding.

"I'm fine," she repeated, glancing at him with a look that was both defiant and fragile.

Mark's gaze softened as he looked at her. He knew the toll this was taking, knew how hard it was for her to hold it together. "Call the blood bank. Tell them to give us all the O neg they have," he said firmly, his words meant to reassure her, to remind her that she was needed.
