••••••••

I stood there in front of the large oak table, my hands clasped together and fidgeting around in a nervous state as I waited for Tyler to speak. I glanced over at Brooke whose eyes were already looking back at me, the sudden high of the cocaine settling in and creating more paranoia. My eyes shot up as I heard Tyler let out a deep sigh, watching his hand run through his hair as he glared at the both of us.

"You guys have got to be fucking kidding me." He says in disbelief as I bit my lip gently, "Coke? At work? You both know better than that. I'm gonna try to keep my cool on this one but what I should be doing is firing the both of your asses!" He says in a whisper yell, despite the low probability of anyone hearing this outside of the room with the loud casino music

"Tyler I'm sorry.." Brooke mumbles quietly as he shook his head, his eyes landing mainly on me as I stood in silence.

"Oh and Paige, you should absolutely not be wearing that." He says as I nod my head slightly despite thinking about how it wasn't too different from my previous dress. I knew deep down he was only saying that because of the circumstances we were in.

"I know I'm sorry.." I said as I glanced up at him while I spoke before bringing my eyes back down to the ground. Tyler clenched both his jaw and his fists in frustration, clearly at a loss for words regarding what he just caught us doing.

"I don't even know what to do here.. I would take away your hours but you'd probably enjoy that." He says with his eyes narrowed, flashing his dark brown eyes between the two of us. "Brooke, I need you to go home for the day." He says keeping his eyes on her as I watched him, Brooke's lips parting to speak before Tyler stops her, "Now." He says sternly before she simply nods her head, turning towards the door and opening it, glancing back at me before exiting.

When the door shut, I jumped a bit in my place as I kept my mouth shut in fear for what Tyler was about to say let alone do. He looked at me with pure anger in his eyes, my mind almost creating an image of smoke coming out of his ears. He pinches his eyes shut, bringing his index finger and thumb up to the bridge of his nose as he takes a deep breath.

"Paige.." He starts as I looked up at him, my hands shaking as I listened to my name leaving his mouth, "You should be grateful that we are here right now. I swear to god you have no idea how fucking pissed I am." He says as his eyes shoot open, practically burning a hole through my head.

"I-I know I'm sorry I just—" I began before Tyler quickly cut me off.

"Paige I don't fucking care what you have to say!" He snapped, goosebumps slowly creeping up my arms as I felt the anger through his words. "I let the other night barely slide, I went easy on you trust me. And now you want to pull this shit at your job?!" He yelled, my body flinching as he raised his voice.

It went silent for a few seconds, my lips scared to even slip a word out because I knew it didn't matter.

"I am not happy with you at all." He spoke coldly as I looked down at the ground, tears slowly starting to form in my eyes as I felt the disappointment throughout the small room.

"Look at me when I'm speaking to you." He says sternly as I quickly obey, my now blurry eyes meeting his as the tears built up. "You need to cut this shit out now Paige, I mean it." He says walking over to me, not breaking eye contact with me as he reaches down grabbing onto my forearm.
