TURNING 15 YEARS old wasn't even that big of a deal. At least that's what Walker thought when he woke up the morning of his 15th birthday. Well, by morning i mean at 12pm. Anyway, he didn't feel nor look any different than he did the previous day.
Today would be just like any other day. The first thing he did when he woke up was check his phone like he usually does every morning. He unlocked it to find messages from his friends who wished him a happy birthday.
That was when Walker saw Maisy's birthday post for him. He was quick to smile upon seeing the pictures that she posted and his smile only grew once he saw the two pictures of himself and Maisy together. It grew once again when he saw the one of Maisy thrown over his shoulder.
They had been hanging out with the group, it was a cast dinner that Charlie had brought Maisy along too. When they were walking back to the car, Maisy stole Walker's phone and started blasting the poppiest pop music one could ever hear off of his phone. Everybody in the group was in to it except for Walker, which made Maisy laugh as she continued to play the music to annoy him.
As the whole group minus Walker sang their hearts out jokingly to the music while messing around with eachother, Walker made an attempt to take his phone back. Maisy let out a yelp and tried to run but Walker picked her up and threw her over his shoulder and continued walking to the car like nothing had happened. Maisy laughed as she hung on to him for her life. Then, Dior took the photo.
When he finishes reminiscing about the photos, he finally got out of bed and stepped out of his room. He looked at his siblings bedrooms then at the stairs, hearing talking before walking downstairs.
He froze at the bottom of the steps when he saw that the living room was decorated. Different shades of blue balloons were spread out throughout the room and giant golden balloons in the number 15 were placed right next to the tv as tinsel foil streamers adorned the usually mundane white walls.
He waved to his siblings, Tanner and Leena, who were sitting on the couch. The both smiled and wished their brother a happy birthday before their mother walked into the living room and noticed her son on the bottom of the steps.
A smile lit up her face as she wished her son a happy birthday and engulfed him into a hug. She kissed his forehead and informed him that she'd start making lunch in a few minutes while their father was out buying a cake.
He sat next to his siblings and talked to them for awhile before they all went on their phones. Walker went to Maisy's contact only to see that she had just texted him happy birthday. He hated how much his mood relied on Maisy and her texts. And he especially hated how she couldn't be there in person to celebrate with him.
