"Aarohi requested Aryan to arrange a meeting with his mother. Aryan agreed, 'Let me inform Mumma.' Aarohi nodded in appreciation."
Aryan returned, "I've informed Mumma. We can head over after the shop closes. We'll have more time then." He paused, lowering his voice. "I didn't mention Aarohi, though. I didn't want to shock her."
Shravan approached Aarohi. "We can head to the hospital now and return this evening."
Aarohi nodded. As she immersed herself in her duties, her mind wandered to her mother. The sudden revelation had shaken her. A new presence in her life, unforeseen and unsettling. Her heart ached whenever she thought of her mother's circumstances.
"But why didn't I notice anything?"she wondered."Was I too young to remember?"
Her thoughts swirled, searching for clues, but her childhood memories seemed hazy.
As the day drew to a close, Aarohi eagerly made her way to Shravan's cabin, anticipating their meeting. His presence always filled her with an unexplainable strength, fortifying her against life's challenges.
Upon seeing him, her heart swelled with happiness. Being with Shravan brought her solace, and she felt invigorated.
Noticing her arrival, Shravan smiled warmly and invited her in. However, he struggled to find the right words, fearing that any topic might upset her. His concern was palpable.
Shravan's gentle voice pierced through Aarohi's turbulent thoughts. "Don't overthink, okay? We're going to get answers to all your questions. Come, let's go."
As Shravan turned to leave, Aarohi's hand instinctively reached out, grasping his. He turned back, his eyes locking onto hers.
"Thank you, Shravan," she said, her voice filled with emotion."I wouldn't have made it through without you. Your constant support means everything to me."
"Arre Aarohi, no need to thank me," Shravan said with a gentle smile. "You're my friend; it's only natural I'd be there for you. Let's not get too emotional, okay? It doesn't suit us."
Aarohi's lips curved into a smile, her eyes still shining with gratitude.
"Come, let's go," Shravan added, offering his arm.
Aarohi's smile lit up the room,He couldn't help but fall for her all over again.
After a nervous drive, they arrived at Aryan's home, where he warmly welcomed them and ensured they were comfortable.
Shravan broke the silence, "Where's your father?"
Aryan replied, "He's out of town, attending to some work in his hometown."
Aarohi's eyes sparkled with curiosity, and Aryan smiled reassuringly. "Mumma will join us soon. Till then, let's catch up. I have some wonderful old photo albums to share."
Aryan walked in,his arms laden with dusty photo albums.
Aarohi's eyes lit up as he handed her the albums. She took one, running her fingers over the worn cover.
As Aarohi flipped through the photos, she saw her mother's smiling face on almost every page. Unlike their formal family pictures, these showed her mom happy and carefree.
She noticed younger Anjana standing beside Sirat, and her heart swelled. Aarohi's fingers traced her mother's image, tears welling up.
"Sorry, Mumma," she whispered.
Before she could think anything,Her eyes betrayed her,by filling themselves with their secretion.
