The shop is bustling with customers, and today marks the sixth day since our grand opening. I’m thrilled to see that people continue to come through the doors.

When I was planning to open my own shop, I faced a lot of doubts and what-ifs. The anxiety leading up to the opening was intense, and it nearly pushed me to back out.

However, I had unwavering support from Mama, Papa Simon, and my friends. They believed in me and reassured me that I would succeed because I excel at this and always pour my passion into my work.

My patissiers and baristas are packed. As much as I want to help them, I can't. I'm needed here in the kitchen.

I nodded at her, putting the last tray in the oven.

Reina helped me with everything, along with Adam, her fiancé. She was instrumental from the planning stages all the way to the opening, and I truly appreciate her support. Today, she is bringing her sister-in-law and nephew, who just returned to the Philippines from the UK for a short vacation.

"Farida!" Rei waved her hand as she spotted me, a smile lighting up her face.

The tall, sophisticated woman locked eyes with me and smiled warmly. There was something strikingly familiar about her.

"Yuna, make sure to bring out the sweets and drinks I've prepared for them."

I was already smiling when I saw them. She looked at me and smiled.

"I'm sorry we're a bit late. Ang dami kasing arte ni Kuya! Anyways, this is Ate Serena; she's Kuya Gunther's wife." She gestured to the woman, who was now standing up.

She's so tall. Hanggang balikat niya lang ako. Her smile was sweet, and she radiated with sunshine as she held her hand to me.

"I guess you're not familiar to me. I am Serena Griego. Nice seeing you again, Farida."

My smile faltered. I knew it. I met this woman, but I can't remember her. Ever since I lost my memories related to Angelus, the only Griegos I consistently talked to were Papa Simon and Reina. I never met Gunther and their other cousins.

"Nice... to see you, too, Serena." I smiled and shook her hand.

"This is Isaiah, my son."
