Chapter 15

Vladmir brings Veronica to a restaurant as she says, "this place is lovely." Vladmir says, "only the best for my mate, let's go and sit down." Vladmir and Veronica both sit outside as she says, "thank you for everything, Vlad... you helped me when no one else did." Vladmir says, "it's been a pleasure, Ronnie." He grabs the menu card saying, "everything looks ravishing on here... they have food for all creatures." Veronica takes a deep breath saying, "when?." Vladmir puts the menu card down looking at Veronica with a confused expression saying, "what do you mean, when?." Veronica asks, "when are you going to let me fall? Because everyone starts out being great, they treat you the way you have always dreamt of... proper gentleman but once you let them in, they abuse and take advantage of the power they have over you." Vladmir thinks, 'is that what she really thinks?.' He says, "hey, I would never let you fall... you have been on the ground for far too long, I'm here to help you stand up, rise, and clean all your wounds Ronnie... I'll admit I'm not perfect but then again, nobody is... I promise you that I won't ever let you fall or be hurt." Veronica says, "promise?." He says, "promise." Vladmir chuckles saying, "now that we are done with discussing that, let's get to know each other." 

Veronica soon cheered up as the waiter came to take their order. Vladmir says, "I'll have a glass of blood with soup and for the lady, a millet Steak, chips, salad and wine." Veronica thinks, 'I've never met a Vampire like Vlad before, he makes me laugh... even though he's a creature of the undead he's handsome, kind and a good listener.' After finishing dinner Vladmir says, "come." Veronica gets up asking, "where are we going?." He hold out his hand to her replying, "it's a surprise." Veronica says, "but we have not eaten dessert yet!." Vladmir pouts saying, "please?." Veronica giggles taking his hand saying, "only because you asked nicely." He spins her before lifting her from the ground. Veronica hold tightly onto Vladmir saying, "you didn't mention you would be flying." Vladmir asks, "are you afraid of this?." Veronica replies, "no but it's good to give me a heads up." Vladmir brings her to a secret oasis behind the woods as Veronica asks, "what are we doing here?." Vladmir replies, "it's beautiful here, isn't it?." Veronica looks at the water and feels nature all around saying, "breathtaking, but what are we doing here, Vlad?." Vladmir takes her hand replying, "this is where my father proposed my mother to marry her."

Veronica lets go of Vladmir looking at him nervously saying, "um...well...I...." Vladmir chuckles saying, "don't worry I'm not going to propose to you, Ronnie." Veronica says with a stunned reaction, "ever, Vlad?." Vladmir says, "atleast not yet, this is my safe place, and I want it to be yours too." Veronica says, "I'm honoured that you showed me this." Vladmir takes her hand saying, "come on, it's getting late and cold." Veronica asked surprised, "you don't like the cold?." Vladmir replies, "I know I'm an undead creature but not that much." Veronica says, "my favourite holiday is Christmas." Vladmir says, "mine too." He carries her in the air as she asks, "what about snow?." Vladmir says, "it's ok, I guess but I don't like it." Veronica says, "I have never seen snow before, Vlad." Vladmir says, "I will take you to see snow one day." Veronica kisses Vlad's cheek happily saying, "you will do that for me?." Vladmir replies, "I will do anything for you, baby." Veronica nuzzles herself in Vladmir who soon brings her home. A week passes since their date as Veronica felt happier and comfortable around Vladmir's family thinking, 'sharing the home together sitting and eating, this is the true definition of a family'. Veronica heads to college for her studies and then heads home thinking, 'my parents have not tried to contact me but I don't care... me and Vlad have slowly gotten closer'. A few days go by as Veronica wakes up in the morning thinking, 'I should go for a run, it will be good for Maia'.
