Today was Friday! The big football game was tonight. I was going to wear some school attire to school to get ready. I was so excited because I get to see Lily cheer tonight on the field. She loves her cheer so much. It makes me happy to see her loving what she is doing.
I got up out of my bed. I got some sweatpants and one of my school shirts out of my closet. I got dressed and did my makeup. Damian was on his way to pick me up. I'm so glad that we are still friends even after the whole breakup. He is always caring and thoughtful. That's what a good friend should be like. He is basically my new best friend.
After I got ready for the day, I grabbed my backpack and went downstairs. I grabbed a banana to eat for breakfast. My sister was still asleep but my parents were watching some television. "I gotta head out for school. I won't be home til after the football game" I said to them. "Ok be safe, love you" my mom said. "Love you too" I said as I headed towards the door. As soon as I walked outside, Damian arrived. "Ready?" He asked. I nodded as I got into the car. We drove off to school. He had some school attire on too. We both were excited for the game. He knows my plan for tonight to see Lily cheer. Damian is going to sit with his friends so it works out. When we got to school we went to our lockers like always. Then headed off to our classes. At lunch, we sat together. We both talked about our predictions for the football game. He thinks our team will win. I'm not really going for the game but I just said our team should win to play along. Lily texted me at lunch.
Lily: Ready for tonight?
Me: Yes I am
Lily: I am glad. I got to wear my cheer outfit to school today so I feel fancy.
Me: Nice I wore some school attire.
Lily: Oh cool
Me: Yep. I love you.
Lily: I love you too.
I was blushing during our little conversation. Damian definitely could tell that I was texting her. "You truly do love her" he giggled. I nodded. After lunch we had our final classes. Then Damian and I went out to his car after school. We were going to meet up with Lily for some dinner at the local deli. When we got there I saw Lily waiting outside in her cheer outfit. She looked so cute. We parked and walked over to her. "Hey" she said. "Hi Lily. Ready to eat?" I asked. She nodded. Damian waved to her too. We all walked in and placed our orders at the counter. Damian was paying for our dinner. That was sweet of him to do. We all sat in a small booth in the corner of the deli. "My mom dropped me off here so I can ride to the football field with you all" Lily smiled. "Yay! I am excited" I said. "So Damian this is Lily. I think maybe you all met but not totally sure" I said. "Hello Lily" he said. "Hi" she replied. "Was classes good today?" I asked Lily. "Yeah I had a stupid algebra test. I passed I believe. Then had an essay we started in English so not happy about that but other than that it was good" she explained. "How about you two?" She said. "My classes were good. Had some homework but I'll do it over the weekend. Also there is a big event this Sunday night. I wanted to ask you too" I admitted. "What's that?" She asked. "My family's Halloween ball. Would you come with me? We can go gown shopping tomorrow. Plus there will be professional makeup artists there" I asked. She looked at me with a weird smile. "Yes I would love to go" she cheered. I was happy when she said yes. "I remember when you asked me" Damian sighed. "Me too" I said. The waiter came over and gave us our meals. We all hurried up with the food so we can make it on time to the football game. "Good luck to your team" Damian said to Lily. She nodded as she was eating. After we all finished eating we drove off to the football field. We parked in the student parking lot. Lily had to rush into the locker rooms. Damian and I walked in and showed our tickets to the gate people. We went to the bleachers. Damian found his friends so we hung out with them. Before the game started I rushed over to the other side to get a spot to see Lily cheered. People gave me weird looks for being on the opposite side. The football players for both teams came out. The cheerleaders welcomed them out. I saw Lily with her pom poms. After the welcome ceremony, the national anthem played. We all had to stand. The football players removed their helmets. A local singer sung the anthem and then after the game began. The cheerleaders for Lily's team lined up in front of the bleachers. They did multiple cheers through the whole night. I was cheering loudly for Lily. I saw her looking me throughout the whole game. I kept blushing but I was enjoying it. My team did win the game. It was a close score but I mostly just watched Lily the whole time. After the game ended, I met up with Damian on the other side again. "We won" I smiled. "Yes! Did you enjoy the cheering?" He asked me. "I sure did. Are we taking her home?" I asked him. "I think her mom is picking her up so we can head out now" Damian said. I nodded. We walked out to the car in the parking lot and he drove me home. Once I got home I told my parents about the game. They were happy my team won. I went to my room and got into my pajamas. I texted Lily a goodnight text. I'll let her know in the morning about the time for shopping for her gown. I told her in the text how well she did tonight. After that I read my book and then finally went to sleep.
