The Massacre

Chapter 11

I woke up early because today was going to be wild. I'm sure the whole school knows who I really am now. Plus now I probably have paparazzi since I'm going to be known as the town vampire. That means my relationship and everything will be more public. Maybe I'm just overthinking though. Anyways I got up and texted Lily a lovely good morning message. I can't wait to go to her cheer practice later. Then I got out of bed and chose a black shirt and skirt combo with some heels. I went into my bathroom to change and curled my hair. I even did a makeup look. Then I grabbed my backpack and phone and went downstairs. My mom made French toast for breakfast. We all were at the table. "Delicious" I said as I took a bite. My mom smiled. "Be careful today, I know we are known now but don't get hurt" my dad said. He used his hand to brush a little bit of hair out of my face. "I know dad. I'm nervous" I admitted. "You'll be ok" Emily smirked. I rolled my eyes and finished my food. Then I had to head out the door. I saw Damian outside my house in his car. "Get in" he yelled. I was scared, why was he even here? I decided to listen and got in. "What's going on" I asked. "I'm sorry we broke up but I wanted to still be friends if you don't mind. We did kinda rush into a relationship to be honest. But you are a sweet lady that deserves more friends especially now with the secret out" Damian explained. I almost started crying. I don't know if I wanna be friends with him. That breakup message was ass and hurt me. "I'll think about it" I sighed. He slightly nodded. We pulled up to school and parked. "It will be ok. I'm sure most of everyone will accept you" Damian smiled. "Not sure" I said as we got out of the car. We walked in. I got weird looks from everyone. "Oh look it's vampire girl" one person laughed. Another person threw paper at me. Damian tried to rush us upstairs to our lockers but everyone was getting in our way. That's when Scarlett appeared out of the crowd. "Well well well, look who it is. Miss secret keeper vampire girl" she snarled. I started to growl. Damian tried to keep me behind him. "I'm sorry" I cried. "I don't accept the apology, my whole life I was lied to. This hurts you know" Scarlett said. She got closer. "Stay away" Damian snapped. She kept coming close. I think she may want to fight. But that's when she grabbed onto her necklace. She began rising above the ground. She grew fur and turned into a wolf. "What the hell?" I screamed. She talks about me keeping secrets but how about her. When did were wolfs exist in this world? My sister always told me they were myths. This is wild. Damian could tell I was scared. He tried protecting me all he could. It's now time for a fight between a vampire and werewolf. My fangs came out and I was hungry for blood. A crowd gathered around. Everybody wanted to record so they got their phones out. Damian stepped back. He joined the crowd. Once everyone formed around us Scarlett came running at me with her big claws. Of course I dodged as quickly as I could. I needed to get one bite of her and drain all of the blood. Sadly people do think vampires fly but that is wrong. If we could I would be up in the air. Scarlett kept trying to claw me but I kept dodging as fast as I could. People were choosing sides but I knew Damian had my side. This whole thing of him being friendly is making me feel attracted to him again. Towards the last attempt of Scarlett's clawing attempt I somehow managed to bite her arm. She fainted on the ground and turned back to normal. She passed out and was left on the ground as I kept drinking her own blood. It tasted so good that my eyes turned red. I ripped her necklace off her and slid it in my pocket as a keepsake. Damian ran over to me to make sure I'll be ok. Once I got all of her blood Scarlett was left unconscious. One of my classmates called 911. Everyone else went back to their own thing before class. Teachers were gathered talking. Damian was with me as I was on the ground. "Are you ok?" He asked. I looked at him. "I think so" I smirked. He helped us get up and then we went to our lockers. "That was crazy" he said. I nodded. We grabbed our books and walked off to class.

The rest of the school day was normal. I mean I did get a murder charge but I can pay that off easily so it doesn't bother me. I feel powerful because I never knew that my biting skills can actually kill someone. This new power feels amazing. Maybe this is how Willow felt back then. I had to be careful to not kill anyone else though especially Lily. She finally told me I can go to her cheer practice so after school she picked me up and we went to her school. We went inside. Everyone was stretching. I sat on the bleachers in the gym. Lily showed me a couple of solo cheers she knows. Then her coach made the whole squad practice together. The whole session was about an hour long. Then Lily drove us to my house. We kissed and hugged then I went inside my house. My mom and dad saw me come in. "Violet we heard what happened. Are you ok?" My dad asked. "Yes Scarlett is dead but I have her power necklace. I never knew she was a werewolf" I sighed. "I know, that means her family is a pack. We got to be careful. Werewolf's hate vampires" my mom reminded me. That is why Scarlett attacked me because my secret was told. I went to my room and texted Lily a good night message. I jumped into the shower and then got into bed afterwards. I laid down and set my alarm. Finally I drifted off to sleep.
