Chapter 15

Today I woke up with a weekend alarm because I was taking Lily gown shopping today. She was coming over in 30 minutes so I hurried out of bed. I took a very quick shower and did my makeup. After I got all ready for the day, Lily arrived. My sister drove us to the mall. "You two text me when you're done" she said. We both nodded and went inside the mall. I took Lily to the same store I got my ball gown at. I got a coupon from my purchase so I was going to let Lily use it. "What color is best for me?" Lily asked. "I chose red so if you want to match then red" I said. She nodded. We went into the ball gown store and found a rack of red gowns. Lily found a cute couple ones she wanted to try on. I went into the dressing room with her to help her try them on. It took us about 20 minutes and then she found a cute dress that has red ripples too. "You look beautiful" I said to her. Lily blushed and looked in the mirror. Seemed like she loved it based off her smile. After we finished up trying on the gowns, we went to check out. I told Lily I would pay for her even with the coupon. "You don't have to" she said. "I want to" I said as I slide my credit card. After I paid, I handed her ball gown bag. We brought it out of the store. We also went to a couple other stores to pass some time before we sat down for lunch. Lily ordered us some Chick fil A. "You nervous for tomorrow?" I asked. "Yes but I am excited to see how pretty your gonna look" she smirked. I giggled as I was eating my food. "Is all your family going to be there?" She asked. I nodded in response. "Ok hopefully they like me" she sighed. I felt bad because I can tell she is really nervous. "You'll be ok" I said. She nodded gently and ate her food.

After we got done eating, I texted Emily to come pick us up. We dropped Lily off at her home. Then Emily took me home. I had to do somethings to get ready for tomorrow. When we got home, my mom asked how it went. I told her Lily is nervous but we got her a beautiful gown. Then I had to approve some of the food that the chefs were making for the ball. I sat down at the dining table, my dad brought me small samples and I gave my reviews. I even got to taste some of the dessert they were gonna serve too. All of it was good but there was a limit for the meals served. My dad gave the chef a list of my review to pick the best ones for the ball. After the taste test, I had to pick my makeup for tomorrow with my private makeup artist. I went into my room and met up with them. "Hi Violet, here is what I was thinking would work for your makeup" the artist said. She gave me multiple different example looks and showed me the products. I chose the most prettiest one that would match with my whole attire. She was going to go to Lily's house later to ask her to pick her look. I'm super excited for tomorrow. It's my big night that I been wanting for a while. I know I was so scared that it wasn't going to go right because of my bite and love finding. At least it's fine now.

In the evening, we all had dinner. My mom made some steaks and potatoes. We all talked about tomorrow and about our day. I told everyone about how Lily was nervous. "She will be ok" my sister said. I nodded. We all kept eating and talking and then after dinner I went to my room. Lily texted me that her makeup pick out went well. I also told her that my parents and sister said she will be ok tomorrow like I told her at the mall. We both talked about dancing together tomorrow night too. Then we watched some YouTube together on the call until she got really tired. I ended the call with her and did some reading of my book. I changed into my pajamas. Then got back into bed and watched Tik tok til I fell asleep. Tomorrow was a big day so sleep is very important.
