Chapter 16 (Finale)

The day of ball has arrived. I woke up at a decent time today. We had to have breakfast with the family so I decided to wear a small dress to be fancy. I also did a little bit of makeup and my hair too. Then I left my room and headed to the dining room. I sat next to my sister and her boyfriend. My grandmother and grandfather was here along with some cousins and other relatives. My mom and dad mostly talked to them. I spoke to my one cousin, Ruby. She always been like a sister to me until she got herself into trouble. She ended up in jail one time and we lost contact. Now she has changed and became a new person. We exchanged phone numbers during breakfast so we can try to keep in touch. I also told everyone about how my girlfriend is coming tonight. Everyone was so happy for me.

After breakfast, I spent some of the day in my room watching television and reading my book. Lily was coming over soon so we can get ready together. I took a quick shower before she got here then once she got here we started putting on our gowns and heels. Then the makeup artist did both of our makeup. That took us over two hours to get ready. I led Lily to my sister so she can stand with her for my grand entrance. My mom went over how she was going to announce me into the ballroom and everything. As time approached I got butterflies in my stomach. I knew Lily was probably nervous too. The ball was going to start any moment. This could have been the night I could have had Damian here but things ended since I fell in love with Lily. I know he is still a friend of mine but I still mostly love Lily. I was going to send him any photos from tonight too later so he doesn't have to miss out too much.

As the ball was getting started, everyone gathered around the ball room. My mom stood in the middle of the room with my sister, Lily, and my dad by the entrance door. "Everyone tonight we gather to crown Violet with the first bite crown as she has earned her first bite along with finding true love to bring to our family. Please put your hands together for Miss Violet Paige" my mom announced. I entered the ballroom and paused in front of the door. I did a little bow as everyone was clapping and cheering for me. I then walked closer to my mom where she was holding the crown. She placed it upon my head. Then she did the protection prayer in front of everyone. After that I had my big speech moment. "I want to thank everyone including my own girlfriend, Lily for joining us tonight. I know my first bite is the first ever non lover bite but I had this belief of my own to not hurt your true love and that's what I did but then it turned into an actual relationship with Lily. She has been so caring and loving towards me. My own family has even been so supportive of our relationship too which means the world to me. Let's spend tonight in celebration and cheer as we dance and eat!" I said in my speech. I ran over to Lily and we started to dance as the music began to play. The music was a mix of slow and fast songs. Plus Lily and I kissed throughout the night and had some delicious food. I introduced her to all my family also. Everyone was so nice to her. We even took some selfies and family photos. Lily and I were having a blast all night.

Once the ball ended, Lily ended up staying the night. We both got into our pajamas after the ball. We got into my bed and cuddled. We watched some YouTube and then talked before we ended going to sleep soon. "Tonight was so much fun I am so glad you came" I said. "Same I was nervous but in the end it was amazing" she smiled. We kissed and made out also before we went to sleep. "Goodnight Lily" I said. "Goodnight" she replied. I know my future with Lily is going to be special. Even though we had our moments and lost a friend of mine things always turn out fine in the long run. One day I want to marry Lily and maybe have kids. That's my dream. For now, I am enjoying dating her and going to school. Vampires for life!
