Charisk Pt. 3

Chara opened the door to their house, finding it dark. Flipping on the light switch, removing their shoes and heading in, Frisk right behind them, they found a small sticky note on the wall:

"We went out

for a bit. Yep.

Ok.

- Sans

and Undyne AND PAPYRUS!!"

"So... should we watch some TV?" Chara asked.

Frisk, still flustered from their kiss with Chara earlier, took a bit to reply; "oh- sure!"

The two sat down on the couch, Frisk's head rested on Chara's shoulder, and Chara's arm wrapped around Frisk, and settled on a show to watch. As the night drew on, snuggled up with their new love, Frisk's eyes began to grow heavy.

"I - had fun today, Frisk," Chara smiled, looking down at their partner.

"I did too," Frisk replied.

With that, the two cuddled up closer and fell asleep.

3 hours later...

The door of the house flung open, and Sans, Papyrus and Undyne came pouring in, not bothering to remove their shoes. As Sans grabbed his trombone and played a jazzy tune, the others danced around the living room, tapping their toes.

"That was the best night out ever!" Undyne exclaimed as she danced into the kitchen.

"Yes!" Papyrus agreed, "that Mew Mew Kissy Cutie 3 was a great movie!"

As Sans marched toward the couch, rapidly moving his trombone slide, he gasped: "Oh! Guys! The kids are right here. Shh. Hm? They're... oddly close." Sans shrugged.

"They look so grown up," Papyrus whispered like an excited mother, "like the style in the fanart."

"Guys?" Undyne smiled cheekily as she walked to the couch, "look at how Chara's arm is around Frisk. I think... they're maybe a bit more than buddies."

Sans laughed, "sure. So - I should probably head to bed."

"I wanna stay up!" Papyrus cried.

"It's already 11:00 PM, Papyrus. Ok, Undyne. Cya?"

Undyne yawned, "you bet ya will!" She ran off, shutting the door.

As him and Papyrus moved toward their bedrooms, Sans took one more look at Chara and Frisk. They were both smiling in their sleep. Smiling, he moved up the stairs.

That morning, Chara's eyes fluttered open. Glancing beside them, they saw Frisk, still in a peaceful slumber, lying comfortably on them. They realized then that Sans and Papyrus must've seen them snuggling, but wasn't worried. They could surely get out of it, or maybe Sans and Papyrus wouldn't even ask.

Just then, Frisk's eyes shot open. Looking at Chara, they gasped; "oh my gosh, Chara! We fell asleep- and then- Sans must've- but what will he think?! I-"

Frisk was interrupted when Chara kissed them gently on the cheek: "It'll be okay, Frisk," they whispered, "I promise."

"If you say so," Frisk said. "But - Chara, I know we just started... ya know. But I don't wanna have to hide anything from Sans and the others."

"Well, do you think anyone'd be mad?"

"Toriel, maybe. And I... I have no idea what Sans would think."

"Listen, Frisk: no matter what anyone says, who's mad, who's not... I'll always love you."

With that, the two kissed again as the morning went by. A few seconds after their lips locked, Frisk and Chara heard footsteps. Pushing away from each other, Papyrus headed down the stairs as they did so, and he smiled: "hey, guys! Did you sleep well?"

"Y-yeah," Frisk blushed.

"That's good," Papyrus replied, "and did you have fun on your little outing?"

"Oh yes, it was real cool," Chara said, "that sunset was pretty."

"I didn't see it, I was playing a video game," Papyrus said wishfully.

"The view was beautiful," Frisk said dreamily, but they were looking at Chara.

1 hour later...

It was a hot, sunny day, and the city streets were busy. Sans sat at his hot dog stand, waiting for a customer. As he watched the sidewalk, he spotted Chara out for a walk. They were smiling, their cheeks extra rosy.

Just then, Undyne popped up beside Sans; "hey, pal!" she exclaimed.

"Hey," Sans replied.

"There's Chara!" Undyne smiled, "No, them and Frisk are TOTALLY a thing, look at that smile!"

"Nah," Sans responded, "betcha ten gold that they're just friends."

"You're on!" Undyne marched over to Chara, who looked up at her with confusion. "Hey, kid! How are you an' Frisk doing?!"

"We're doing great, thanks for asking," Chara smiled. "You and Alphys?"

"Uh - good, but I've been meaning to ask ya- NO judgement whatsoever: are you and Frisk... dating?"

Chara looked startled: "well - no! That'd be crazy. Frisk and I are merely friends."

"Oh. Right," Undyne pursed her lips and walked back to Sans.

"See? 10 gold," Sans extended a bony hand.

"Nuh-uh," Undyne shook her scaly head, "Chara wasn't so sure of themself while they were talking to me! Nothing is said and done yet!"

"It's just 10 gold," Sans muttered.

"NO! A VALIANT WARRIOR LIKE ME NEVER GIVES UP!!"

"Oh... you've told me. Many, many times."

Meanwhile, back on the ranch, Frisk sat in their bed, gazing out the window. Even though Chara seemed to have it under control, Frisk felt very uneasy, hiding them and Chara's relationship from Sans and the others. They weren't exactly sure what their friends would think, but regardless of that, Frisk hated hiding their feelings at all.

They wished they could be as carefree and confident as Chara. When they pictured Chara's warm smile, Frisk felt a bit better.

As Chara shopped at the store, they decided to buy a present for Frisk, just for fun. They searched around, but couldn't find anything. They pushed their cart (which was full of boxes of frozen pizza) around the corner, into the clothing section, and they saw something hanging from a rack.

Chara's eyes widened: THAT was it!
