As Frisk stared out the window, lost in thought, they didn't hear Chara enter the house until they knocked on Frisk's door.
"Who is it?" Frisk asked, startled.
"Chara," Chara giggled as they entered the room, holding a cardboard box in their hands.
Chara sat down beside Frisk, frowning; "are you okay, Frisk? You look worried."
"Huh - oh - I'm fine," Frisk stuttered, "what's in that box?"
"It's a present I got for you," Chara smiled brightly, "open it!"
"Is there an occasion?" Frisk asked as they tore at the tape that held the box together.
"No, I just felt like buying something for you."
"Well, thanks!"
Frisk finally ripped open the top of the box and reached in: they felt fabric. They then pulled out a small pink ballet skirt. It was softer than a cloud. Frisk grinned, remembering old memories.
"I know you like to dance, so..." Chara said.
"I love it!" Frisk hugged Chara tight, "thanks so much! I'll go put it on!"
Frisk changed quickly and re-entered the room. They twirled around, their new skirt spinning gracefully with them.
"How do I look?" They asked.
"You look gorgeous," Chara replied.
"Thanks," Frisk blushed.
Just then, Chara stood up and began to kiss Frisk. Frisk kissed back, and they began to feel warm. Their worries melted away... all they wanted was to be with Chara. As the two kissed, they heard the front door slam. Frisk reluctantly pulled away from their lover and stepped outside of the room. In the bright light of the sun, they saw Sans walk in, humming a song.
"Oh - hey guys," Sans waved, "wow! Frisk, I haven't seen that skirt before. Reminds me of the Underground."
"Chara got it for me," Frisk smiled, looking back into their room.
"Did you say thank you?"
"Wh- of course!"
"Good. I'm glad that Chara's so nice."
"Yeah," Frisk replied dreamily, "me too."
1 hour later...
Sans and Frisk sat on the couch, the sun setting outside the living room widow. Some YouTube video was on the TV, but Frisk wasn't watching it. Instead, they were gathering their courage. After a few minutes, Frisk spoke up.
"Hey Sans?" They said, "I... have something to tell you."
"Ok, let's hear it," Sans replied.
"Well... I've been thinking about this all day, and - I don't wanna keep any secrets. Sans... Chara and I like each other."
"Of course you do, silly," Sans chuckled, patting Frisk's head, "you're best friends!"
"No! We - we..."
"You?" Sans shrugged.
Frisk's face flushed, and they stuttered; "we... LIKE like each other."
Frisk turned away, praying for Sans to not be upset. Sparing a glance, they saw his expression blank. After what felt like forever, Sans muttered: "I was gonna buy a burger with that ten gold."
"What?!"
"Nothin'. Listen, kid, I'm really glad you told me. I think it's pretty cool that you two like like each other. Plus, you make a cute couple," Sans winked.
Frisk gasped with joy and hugged Sans tightly.
Just then, a gasp sounded from the doorway. Frisk looked up to see Toriel, their sort of mother figure, standing there. Her eyes were wide, and she almost dropped the butterscotch pie in her hands. Frisk just stared at her, overcome with anxiety.
"Frisk... Chara..." Toriel stuttered.
"Oh, hey," Sans stood up, "lemme tell ya-"
"I've heard enough," Toriel interrupted, "Frisk, my child, you're so young! This can't be right! I - there's no way."
"Toriel, Chara and I," Frisk cried, but couldn't find the right words.
"You're much too young!" Toriel snapped, "I can't have you two doing-"
"Toriel, they'll keep it PG," Sans comforted, "well- PG-13."
"Sans, you don't understand. Frisk and Chara are like siblings, they can't-"
"Maybe you shouldn't judge QUITE so quickly, Toriel," Sans shrugged.
Just then, Chara came down the hall and into the living room, their smile fading: "Hey, Toriel! What's all the yelling abou..."
"Chara, are you?!" Toriel scolded.
Chara frowned, boiling over; "Frisk, you couldn't keep a secret for a DAY, huh?"
"I was only trying to tell Sans, Toriel just overheard!" Frisk pleaded.
"Great, now we're knee deep in trouble! Good going," Chara snapped.
"No - Chara, please," Frisk sobbed, "I can- we-"
But Chara had already ran out the door.
"I hope you're happy!" Frisk yelled at Toriel through tears before storming off.
"Oof," Sans muttered as he teleported away.
Toriel cried, shaking her head. She didn't know how to feel...
