Frisk sat on their bed, a notepad rested on their lap. They grabbed a pencil from beside them and began to draw, but were cut short by a knock on the door. Without waiting a bit, Chara entered the room.

"Hey, pal," Chara smiled, "just wanted to check on 'ya."

"I'm the same as I was twenty minutes ago when you last checked on me," Frisk joked.

"What can I say? I'm a caring person!"

"Thank you, Chara." Frisk stood up and kissed Chara on the cheek gently.

"Oh, are you drawing?" Chara exclaimed joyfully, "can I join you?"

"Sure! I didn't know you drew."

"Oh - I do! Mostly Naruto characters. Be right back."

Yet another thing we have in common, Frisk thought. As they sat back down, their bed creaking, Frisk's notepad fell to the floor, revealing a drawing they had done of them and Chara together. Just then, Chara re-entered the room, their arms full of art supplies.

Blushing, Frisk snatched up their notepad. As Chara laid their drawing materials out on the bed, Frisk flipped through their notepad. It's all drawings of Chara, they thought.

"So, what are you drawin' now?" Chara asked as they started on a picture of a giant squid.

"I, uhhh..." Frisk tried to think of something to draw that wasn't their lover.

"Is it me?" Chara asked.

"Would it - be creepy if it was?"

"What?! No! Honey, I'd be flattered."

"Okay. Then yeah. That's... what it was."

"I wanna see when you're done."

"S - sure!" Frisk went back to their notepad.

After a few minutes of focused silence, Chara decided to strike up conversation; "so, uh... how are you?"

"Good. It's kinda boring at the house though," Frisk sighed.

"I can agree with that. We'll have to go on another date sometime soon."

"That'd be fun," Frisk thought back to their wonderful trip to the field the day before.

"Frisk?"

"Yeah, Chara?"

"Just curious - have you drawn me before?"

"A few times," Frisk turned away, thinking of their notepad full of art. After a while more of drawing, Frisk held up their drawing to Chara: it looked a lot like them, but a tiny bit cartoony.

"Wow!" Chara exclaimed, "you're so talented, Frisk. You just..."

"I'd like to see your drawing," Frisk tried not to brag in response to the compliment.

"Uh... okay," Chara held up a drawing of a giant squid.

The squid held a damaged submarine in its long tentacles. A few stickmen floated through the water.

"Wow! That's much more creative than mine," Frisk smiled.

"But yours still warmed my heart," Chara replied.

The two leaned in to kiss, but were interrupted when Papyrus marched by.

"Ah, I see you were hugging," he said, "well, when you're done, dinner is ready!"

"At least close the door," Sans muttered.

Frisk smiled nervously, as they got up to get dinner, Chara following suit. When they entered the living room, a pizza and breadsticks had already been dished out and set on the table.

"Mmmm, thanks!" Frisk said.

"Yep!" added Chara.

The Next Morning...

Frisk once again found themselves sitting on their bed beside Sans.

"So, kid," Sans said, "Chara's birthday is in a month. Any ideas of what to get them?"

"I have something in mind," Frisk responded.

"Is it a kiss?"

"Er - n-no, no!" Frisk chuckled anxiously.

"Uh - okie dokie. Sorry. I already got some chocolate, cuz - duh. But I was wondering if - since you know them so well -" Sans winked, "if you knew what else we should get for Chara."

"Maybe a video game since Toriel's getting them the console?"

"She loves spoilin' kids. Anyway, ok. What sorta games do they like?"

"The kind I don't like."

"So not Cooking Mama or Mario?"

"Y - yeah."

"Gotcha. See ya, kiddo."

"See ya, Sans."

My present is gonna be real special, Frisk thought, I can't wait.
