'20 - Open arms'

"My Pedri." I ran towards my cousin and ran into his arms, as the tears spill onto the shirt he was wearing.

"I'm so sorry Cam." He whispered into my hair, as we are stood next to Jose's bed.

I eventually let go to see Lamine, since he gave us enough space to release emotions.

I run up to the guy, resting my head on his shoulder, as he wraps his arms around me. None of us need to speak at this moment, I just needed the radiated comfort emitting from him.

"I miss him." I turn to Pedri.

"He was the sort that would light up any dull room." Pedri rants on, "You both mean the world to me."

"He'll be okay Ped." I try to gaslight myself to be optimistic, but I know it's failing miserably.

"He's a pure hearted man, we clicked instantly, you're so lucky to have him." Lamine adds on, which makes me smile at him.

"Jose would want us to move on with our lives, he'd be so angry if we skipped our life to save his." I speak up.

"You're right Cam, we need to carry on, for him." Pedri starts to cheer up a little.

"I'm so proud of you both." Lamine moves to trap us both into hugs.

"Thank you." I whisper into the hug.

We decide to leave the hospital air for a bit, to go find Jose's favourite restaurant to celebrate him, and how he will come back to us.

As we were walking and Pedri was on the phone to my aunt and uncle, I stepped Lamine back.

"Thank you for being here for me, noone would've ever flew over to save a girl's brother." I say.

"You're not just any girl, you're my girl. I'd do anything for you." He put his arm around me.

"I thought I was ready, for us, but what happened with Jose shook me." I admit to him.

"Take your time, you need to slow things down or you'll crash all at once, as long as you're by my side, I don't care what we are." He calms me down.

"I'm sorry I'm so complicated." I huff.

"You're not, you're wise, strong, and a loyal lover. Any girl would have easily thrown herself at me after realising my job, but you always dug deep into me, who's Lamine Yamal without the fame?"

"Your the most purest hearted man ever, I'm so lucky I have you." I smile at him.

"I'm even more lucky jelly bean." He tuck a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Jelly bean?" I looked at him in a cringe expression.

"You love jelly beans - it's meant to be!" He cracked a joke which made me giggle for the first time since forever.

We both eventually catch up with Pedri, and we all sit down on a table; Lamine next to me, and Pedri across of us.

We decide to order a salad bowl, since none of our appetites were over the moon. We only ate for the sake of my brother.

A notification chimes on my phone, and the message came from my mother. I take a deep breath and looked at the boys.

"Who is it?" Pedri asks.

"Mum." I mumble. Lamine quickly stimulates his hand on my thigh, to keep me sane.
