hollow minded

I lived in a monochrome world

my eyes only translating things

in varied shades of black

All the colour that was once there

had left and not returned

My heart; enclosed, sealed and hidden

i kept it safe from the blood stained hands

of people that lie in harmonious melodie's

their twisted words of manipulation

dripping from their mouth like honey

The marks that they left

still imprinted all over my body

tracing the ragged stitches of my trauma

the tears i shed; an echo of heartbreak

my body now lifeless, and my mind hollow

as there is no colour left in me

except black and white.
