Alucard and Y/N stepped out into the crisp night air, leaving the comfort of the hotel behind. The city was alive in a way Y/N hadn’t often seen, lights spilling out from windows and people milling around the streets, blissfully unaware of the purpose behind Alucard and Y/N’s presence. Though outwardly calm, there was a weight in the air, an unspoken understanding between them that this mission was no ordinary task.

They made their way down winding streets, the echoes of their footsteps swallowed by the hum of the city. The destination was still a few blocks away, a nondescript warehouse on the edge of town. To an outsider, it was just another building in a quiet part of the city. But Y/N knew better. Millennium operatives had been using it as a hideout, and the Hellsing Organization had confirmed that it contained crucial intel.

Alucard glanced down at Y/N as they walked, his sharp gaze softened just slightly. “Are you ready for this, Y/N?” he asked, his voice a low murmur that cut through the quiet of the street. There was something more in his question, a flicker of concern hidden beneath his usual confidence.

Y/N gave a nod, his fingers still idly turning the ring he wore as part of their cover. “I’m ready,” he replied, keeping his tone steady. He didn’t have Alucard’s experience in battle, but he’d learned much from watching him. There was no room for hesitation or fear tonight. Alucard was counting on him.

Inside the bunker, the tension hung thick in the air. The hum of equipment and the quiet murmur of Hellsing operatives filled the confined space, all eyes on the screens tracking the mission in real time. Integra sat, focused and composed, her steely gaze fixed on the map in front of her. Every detail had been meticulously planned, each step calculated. Yet, there was always an edge to a mission like this, a lingering feeling of unease that even her unwavering resolve couldn’t shake.

Seras, beside her, glanced over the map again, her eyes narrowing in thought. She hesitated, double-checking a series of coordinates and positions, a frown slowly forming on her face. After a moment, she cleared her throat.

“Sir Integra,” she began cautiously, “are we sure about the route? I mean, the layout of the building—could it be different than we expected?”

Integra looked over, her brows knitting slightly as she considered Seras’s question. “The intelligence team scouted the location extensively. We accounted for all known entry points, and Alucard has a direct route to the target.”

Seras nodded, biting her lip as she scanned the map again. “But what if…what if they’ve moved things around? Millennium knows we’re coming, don’t they?” She glanced at Integra, an uncharacteristic worry flickering in her eyes.

A silence stretched between them as Integra’s eyes darkened with a dawning realization. Seras’s instincts had picked up on something they had overlooked, something vital. A feeling of dread settled in her chest as her mind raced, trying to recall every detail of the reports, every possible scenario.
