By now Alexander would knock on the door of the lighthouse as he'd peek around the corner. Nobody would answer by now. Alexander would notice that the swell around the lighthouse was dead flat but up ahead down the road it was perfect barrels. Alexander would try knocking again but nobody knew that's when Elaine tried, using a pattern only certain people knew. The pattern was three knocks, two knocks then one. By now the door would open. By now the man would usher them all inside as he'd say, " Good to see you again Miss Elaine. Been a while, how long now since you last came to Lara Bay, I haven't seen you in awhile dear.? "
Elaine would smile at the man as she'd respond with, " The last time my family were in Lara Bay was back when I finished high school at 18. My grandparents visit often at least 3 times per year. Although we live 24 hours away Lara Bay is there home and they always say to pass there ' hellos ' to you Phillip, the lighthouse keeper. "
The man would give a chuckle as he'd say, " Deary me, is that so? My my.. that is such a long time ago isn't it.. ah! Your grandparents Margret and David, are lovely people I must see them before I retire this lighthouse to my son. "
Elaine would smile as she'd say, " Indeed, a long time it has been. Now these are my friends. Alexander here is the one with brown hair and Brandon here is my fiancé, we are now engaged and I believe you will love the wedding whenever it is. Your invitation will be sent in the mail just for you.. but there is one thing we all need to ask you if that is okay Phillip. "
