𝐊𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚

It's 7:30 am, and I'm doing some of my father's company papers, writing down the contracts, checking the payment of the employees, and all the company stuff. The window is open, and I can hear the sound of raindrops while I'm working. The rain is pouring heavily, and it's like I can feel its heaviness too.
I have to finish my work by 8 and give all the paperwork to my father if he's not gonna kill me today.

Everything is the same, I do my work at my father's company and go hang out with Anna, I already texted her if she wants to come with me to the bar or not, but she never refuses, I guess; we both actually have nothing to do, especially here.

I grab all the papers and go near the window to take a look.
Such foggy weather...
It's beautiful.
I turn to smile, I wish I could have a great day, I don't want to waste my time here.
Suddenly...
I see Anna standing out right in front of me. She waves at me with a smile with her phone in her hand.
See? That's her answer, always.

She doesn't shout it out loud but says something like:

"When are we going to make the plan?"

And I notice that she's talking about my father.
She says it with a smile as if we're not planning for my father's death, sometimes, I wonder if she finds it a joke; but then I realize that she's a psycho-freak just like me, and knowing this is easy, cause if she wasn't one, she wouldn't be my best friend.
So I come closer and wave at her and say this with a smile:

"Pretty soon."

It was as if we were planning for trick or treat, and nothing more.

I go upstairs and reach my father's office, I want to knock on the door slightly until I hear my dad talking to someone, he laughs loudly, and I wonder who he is talking to, he's talking about something;
He's talking about me.

I stand right behind the door and start eavesdropping their conversation.

"I'd be glad to see you at the annual celebration tonight, won't miss it right, Luke?"

Yeah Luke, of course, he is the one my father's talking to.

'Luke Carls' is the man my father has planned for me to be engaged to.

No fuckinh way.

"I appreciate the invitation, sir,"

At first, I thought it wasn't something important, but he is too certain about me being his fiancée, it's a fucking nightmare.
He is a fucking nightmare.
And now, they're talking about it, talking about the future I should make, my future.
My father's planning to announce it tonight, right at the annual celebration for the company for sure.
I have to stop it.
I have to stop that jerk from doing that!

I open the door, almost a crack.

My father stares at me calmly and still has a grin on his lips.

"Welcome sweetie, although I knew you were eavesdropping."

He said, didn't bother to yell at me for cracking his office door.
And that was not ordinary and was odd at the same time.
And whispers something like:
"My little savage daughter."
I walk in.

"Sorry about that father, but you're not making me sleep with this jerk."
I said and took a quick look at Luke's face, he was smiling.
That piece of shit.
