Ellie's POV

The next afternoon, I woke up alone with a note next to me. Dad went to the Salvatore's, he is going to help find answers about the Orginials and the curse. Apparently Rose is there. He said to be safe.

I think I am going visit Kath. Elena sent me a message that she went to Katherine and learned more about the ritual. Stefan found her and took her home.

I start to pack a cooler with bloodbags, a few sodas and two sandwiches. And off to the woods I went.

.......

"Hey Kath. Missed me?"

Katherine walked up to the front of the tomb, looking a bit better, probably from Elena's bribes.

She can't be their soulmate, she is too nice. Damon is wrong, hopefully. They will never deserve her. I will not tell her about the small probability of her being their soulmate.

"A little birdy told me, you went on a crazy adventure." I let out a snort and sat near the barrier. I took out my chicken sandwich and my cream soda and slid the cooler bag to her.

"Not a fun one. Kidnapping is not something I want to happen to me. I brought you some food and bloodbags."

We ate in silence and after I finished my sandwich, word slipped out my mouth,"I have a crush on a dead guy."

She looked at me confused,"A vampire? Damon will enjoy torturing the poor soul."

I grimaced, and said,"Kinda. Well, the first guy I had a crush on, is staked by my Dad. So, he is dead dead. It is so great. I might never go on a date."

"Wait, Trevor or the Orginial?"

My nose turned up in disgust,"Eww. Not Trevor. The hot guy in the suit...I feel like maybe he is not dead. But I am just delusional and want have my first kiss before I die. It is so stupid."

It is not possible. I hope he is dead. Damon is going to have his hands full if he is truly alive.

"Is it weird talking about this? I can totally shut up if this is too weird for you. You kinda dated him..."

Katherine reassured me,"It is fine. I never truly loved them. I was using them as a distraction for losing her. Just promise me that you will be safe and not to be stupid."

I rolled my eyes,"I will try. But I am my father's daughter. Chances are I will be doing stupid stuff in the future."

We talked about random stuff and family. Dad texted and said that he will be spending his night at the Boarding house.

"I will see you soon okay. I will not forget you, Kath."

3rd person's POV

Elisabeth decided to eat at dinner, not in the mood to make herself dinner. Damon is spending the night at the Boarding house. She is glad he is spending some time with Rose. He needs to get out more.

She did not want him to be alone when she dies one day. She still doesn't not know if she will be able to survive as a vampire.

She took a seat at the counter and ordered a burger, fries and a chocolate milkshake. It is the least she deserves after getting kidnapped.

Meanwhile, a suited Orginial wanted to grab a quick snack. It seems like fate wanted them to meet again. As Elijah walked into the diner, he smelt her scent. She was there.

It was very quiet. Just them and the diner staff.

He was getting nervous. He just does not want her to be afraid of him. He just wanted her to be safe from the dangers of the world.

Elisabeth saw someone take a seat near her. She turned and looked at this person. She felt her heart stop. The dead guy is sitting next to me. How is this even possible?

Elijah felt eyes on him and made eye contact with her. Her eyes widened as she recognized the guy. 'Mr Hot in a suit' is alive.

"You...how....what. You were dead."

"It is not the easy to kill a Orginial." He heard her increased heartrate and thought it was because she was afraid of him, and tried to reassure her, "I give you my word that I will not hurt you."

He saw how the wheels in her head run in thought. She nervously bit her lip and asked him,"How old are you? Are you different from normal vampires? Sorry... you don't have to answer that."

He gave her an amused smile," It is fine. Ask away. How about we move to a booth for privacy?" Ellie nodded excitedly, hoping she can get to know him a bit. She knows talking to the 'enemy' is probably not the best move and her dad will have an aneurysm if he finds out about this.

They sat at the back in a large booth, opposite each other. While they talked, Elisabeth ate her food and shared some fries with him, not wanting to eat alone.

"So I am a bit over a thousand years old. My family was the first vampires to exist through my mother and a Bennet witch that used black magic. She wanted us to be protected against wolves. We are a bit more powerful then other vampires. Where are you from?"

She knew he was being honest and decided to also tell the truth. She felt like she could trust him.

She looked interested in the conversations with him and answered him,"That is a bit complicated. Do you knew of supernatural creatures like fairies?"

"I heard rumors of the existence of fairies, but never saw one. Why?"

"Until I was 5 years old, I lived in the underworld with other fairies. I had powers, but when I was five my...my mother stole my powers and brought me to Earth and left me for dead."

As a few tears rolled down her cheek, Elijah cupped her cheek and rubbed the tears off. And gently held her hands to give her a bit comfort.

He saw that talking about her past is difficult. Her story reminded her of Klaus.

"Then my dad found me in the woods. He adopted me soon after. He was the one who stabbed you. Sorry about that."

They spent the rest of the night talking about more light hearted topics and at the end of the night both were nervous.

Elisabeth nervously played with her hair and asked him,"Do you want to hang out sometime? Or can I get your number?"

Elijah sighed in relieve. He was glad she kinda made the first move. "Sure, I would love to see you again."

They exchanged numbers before they went their separate ways.

Both went to sleep with a big smile on their face.
