She met Lexie a few years ago. And they become friends, much to Damon's dismay. So Damon will stake someone else for his plan to get favor with the council.

Ellie made Stefan a leather bracelet with an engraving inside,'Old Grandpa'. She made Lexie give it to him.

Ellie stayed at home after Damon told her about the plan.

Caroline was a bit drunk and talked to Matt, "Can I just go home okay?"

"I'll take you come on, you're ok , she's still alright,Hold still,Hold still."

Outside Matt runs into Sheriff Forbes.

Sherriff Forbes looked at her daughter drunk,"What happened is she ok ?"

Caroline snapped,"Like you care."

"She's drunk?"

"As a skunk."

Matt informed her mother, trying to ensure her,"I'll take her home .It's on my way . They haven't been drinking."

Sheriff Forbes comes in with the compelled girl.

"Look around let me know if you see him."

The officers injected a random guy with vervain and he passed out.

Outside ,Damon staked the vampire.

After they took the body, Liz sees Damon.

" Pretty handy with that stake."

"It Just ...reflex .I guess the adrenaline kicked in." Damon told her, pretending to be humble.

Sheriff Forbes just sighed and said,"This nightmare is finally over."

Damon texted Ellie that he was spending the night at Salvatore's house and that she should lock every door.

He drank quiet a bit, still having flashbacks from his Augustine days and drunkenly said to Stefan as he walked in,"Told you to take care of it.Come on I did this for you. To get them off our trail."

"You never do anything for anyone but yourself."

Stefan stabbed him with a broken chair leg. Damon groaned in pain as he removed the make shift stake.

Damon told him,"And this is why you might not meet your niece. She absolutely hates blood."

Stefan was frozen. Did he just say niece? Like Damon's daughter. Like a relative. What?

He pointed to Stefan's wrist and said,"She made you that and she wants to meet her uncle, but you are too much in your head with this feud...I forgive you for turning me. I guess I learned that you did not want to be alone. So, stop being so grumpy."

"Why do you have a daughter? How? When?"

"I found her in the woods when she was 5. She's seventeen, almost eighteen. She hates talking to people. But she is the sweetest person. Stefan...she reminded me of you. That's why I took her in. And guess what? I love being a Dad."

Stefan let's out a breath. That's a lot of information to take in. Before he could ask more questions, he heard a chainsaw. And he let out a chuckle.

This was probably the first real conversation they had since 1864.
