Damon was at the bar, drinking whiskey. Jules thought that the vampire had killed Mason. She tried threatening him, but he arrogantly said," You think i'm afraid of you?"

"No, i don't. That's your vampire arrogance. Tonight is not the night to pick a fight with me. You've been marked." She told him and walked out of the Grill.

Damon and Alaric were outside of the Grill, looking around for her,"Where is she?"

" Just let her go, Damon. Don't be stupid." Alaric tried calming him down.

Damon said to him in anger,"So what? Just let her get away? 'You've been marked' What the hell kind of wolf flow down crap is that anyway?"

"Damon, look up! Just look up." He looks at the sky. It's the full moon. "If this werewolf stuff is true, one bite and you're dead. One bite! Alright? Don't risk it. Do you really want to leave Ellie alone without a father. Just go home, lock your doors."

Damon nodded his head, knowing he was right. He thought that spending the night at the Salvatore's is better incase something were to happen, then Ellie would be safe.

Ellie's pov

Dad was spending the night at the Boarding house, leaving me with a empty house. I think this is a stupid idea. What if he says no?

I nervously bit my lip, contemplating. I text him. Hi, missed me? Weird question, but do you want to have dinner at my house?  Around 7? You can totally say no if you are busy.

I tossed my phone on the couch and ran my hands over my face. In the kitchen, I start to get the food ready. I am planning to make my favorite. A creamy, cheesy seafood pasta.

I heard a notification from my phone. I run to my phone,  falling over the coffee table. I reach for the phone and see a message from Elijah.

I would love to come, darling. See you soon. And I need your address or I will run through the whole town to find you.

I sent him the address and went to get ready. I decide on a casual knee length dress. I started on the food while there was some light music on.

Elijah had finished negotiating with Elena. A deal to keep her family and friends safe in return for her to lead Klaus to Mystic Falls. He thought that maybe with their soulmate in the picture his humanity can be found and that he will release their siblings from daggered states. He knows the poor doppelganger will be sacrifice, but he told her about the potion that can bring her back. Now, his witches were going to release Stefan from the tomb. They broke the seal and put a quick sleeping spell on the two vampires trapped in the tomb.

Elijah wanting to keep compelling other vampires a secret, compelled Katherine to stay in the tomb and not to tell others about the compulsion. The witches took Stefan to the Boarding House and left him there to wake up as soon as they left.

He came up with a plan to protect his family secrets that can be used against him. If something were to happen to him, the witches were to protect Elisabeth.

He got ready for the dinner. He was nervous. Elijah did not know when to tell her about the soulmate bonds.

He knocked on a door of a two story house.

I looked at the clock and it was just before 7. I removed my apron and slowly went to the door. I opened it and saw him in a suit again. "Hi Elijah. Please come on in." I widen the door, waiting for him to come in. You can hang your jacket by the door"

Elijah loved that she trusted him enough to invite him in. "Thank you for the invite. I was glad you reached out." He walked in the door and gracefully remove his jacket and hang it on an antique wooden coat hanger.

They walked into the dining room. It was around laid with cutlery and plates. The food was already to be served.

"I hope you are not allergic to anything." I joked as we sat down. "I only have sparkling wine with a side of a seafood pasta."

"When I was human, I was allergic to fish. Weirdly enough, it is one of the reasons I am happy to be a vampire." And if I wasn't a vampire, I probably wouldn't have met you, he thought.

They enjoyed the dinner. It was a happy, light atmosphere. They both enjoyed each other's conversations.

Later they heard thunder outside, and it started pouring down. Elisabeth looked outside with wonder and walked to the patio. Elijah followed her, unsure on what she was planning.

She opened the door. Loving how the sky was now clouded, hiding the full moon from them. Lightning painted the sky ,so beautifully.

She run out the door, feeling content with how the rain felt on her skin.

Like freedom.

Before Elijah could stop her from getting drenched, she was already on the grass, swinging in circles. He saw her smile and her contentment and melted at the sight. He joined her and said,"You will get a cold Ms Salvatore."

She turned and faced him. She grabbed hold of his hands and told him,"Life comes with risks. But ,dancing in the rain is like I am home. Consequences be damned."

They both swayed to the music of their hearts. Elijah moved a misplaced piece of her hair, behind her ear. And both of their breaths hitched for a moment. She looked down at his lips and Elijah gently asked,"May I kiss you?"

She quietly replied and nodded her head shyly,"Yes."

He gently took her face in his hands and moved closer. She put her hands on his chest, loving the warmth of his body. Their lips met and for both of them, sparks flew.

After a moment the broke apart, their foreheads still touching. Both out of breath. She shivered from the feelings inside her. It was powerful.

He gently grabbed her hand and led them inside. Not wanting her to be in the rain for to long.

Ellie was on cloud 9, but she can feel the effects of the rain. She was shivering from the cold. Elijah knew he had to leave so that she can change clothes and stay warm.

"Okay. The dinner was incredible and the whole night was incredible. But you have to get into other clothes and stay warm." She nodded as he talked. They walked to the door and before he left, he put a forehead kiss on her head as a goodbye, lingering a bit before leaving.

Ellie went back to her room, she took a warm bath and wore her fluffy pajamas. She might regret the rain tomorrow, but not the memories. She jumped on her bed. She finally had her first kiss and it was amazing.

As she laid on her bed, she succumbed to the darkness, excited for the light of tomorrow.
