Scene: Tan's Struggle – A Week Later

The week has passed, and Tan’s physical and emotional pain hasn't gotten any better. His body is pale, his movements slow, as if the weight of everything is draining him. He’s been going through the motions, attending classes despite his fever, trying to hold himself together when deep down, he feels like everything around him is falling apart. His friends have been avoiding him, and it hurts more than anything.

Tan is standing in front of Fang and Phum, trying to hold back his tears as he pleads, hoping for some kind of forgiveness. But it’s clear from the expressions on their faces that they don’t want to hear it. Their coldness, their indifference, cuts deeper than any words could.

"Please, just tell me what I can do to make things right," Tan says, his voice weak, barely above a whisper. " Please, forgive me."

But before anyone can respond, Toey, standing beside Tan, steps in. His voice is firm, but there's a hint of sadness. " hia tan, you don’t have to do this. You don’t have to apologize to them."

Tan looks at him, confused. He feels like he's standing on the edge of a cliff, ready to fall. He doesn’t understand why everyone is so distant, so angry. But then, Fang speaks up, his words sharp and final.

"Don’t ever bother us again," Fang says coldly, his eyes full of disappointment and pain. His tone is firm, making it clear that there's no room for discussion. Tan’s heart breaks with every syllable, but he tries to stand strong, to force himself to keep going.

"Please," Tan begs, his voice cracking. "Peem, don’t you trust me? After everything we’ve been through, do you really think I would do something like that to you? To any of you?"

Peem, who has been standing at the edge of the group, finally looks at Tan, his eyes filled with anger and sorrow. "Yes," Phum interjects, his voice low and laced with pain.

The words hit Tan like a slap in the face. His mind is reeling, his body trembling as he stands there, feeling the walls close in on him. He wants to fight back, to explain himself, but every time he opens his mouth, the words feel meaningless. The people he cares about, the people who were once his closest friends, are now just strangers.

He turns to look at each of them Peem, Q, Chain, Pun, and even Toey, who is standing beside him, trying to keep him grounded. But their faces are a blur of disappointment, anger, and sadness, and Tan realizes that there’s nothing he can do to fix it now. He’s lost them. All of them.

The tears that he’s been holding back start to spill, but he doesn’t care anymore. He’s tired. So tired of trying to hold onto something that’s slipping through his fingers. The fever still hasn’t gone away, and now, his heart feels heavier than ever.

“I’m sorry,” Tan whispers again, his voice breaking. “I really am. But I don’t know how to fix this. I don’t know what else to do.”

As Tan stands there, the silence between them stretches on. Fang looks away, his jaw clenched, unwilling to show any sign of weakness. Phum, too, remains silent, his disappointment evident in the way he looks at Tan. And Tan, feeling more alone than ever, takes one last look at them before turning to leave, his heart shattered, the weight of his mistakes crashing down on him like a wave.

His steps are slow, dragging him away from the group that once meant everything to him. And as he walks away, he wonders if it’s too late to fix what he’s broken, or if there’s no way back from the damage he’s caused.

Tan stands in front of his friends, the weight of their anger and disappointment heavy on his chest. His fever still lingers, his body aches, but nothing hurts more than the coldness he feels from the people he once called family. His heart races, his hands trembling, but the words escape his lips, resigned and defeated.
